Patent number: 10773880Abstract: A heating assembly for heating a liquid storage tank includes a heat exchanger tank supported in one wall of the storage tank to extend into the storage tank in contact with liquid stored therein. The heat exchanger tank contains a heat exchanger fluid therein which is heated by a burner tube extending through the heat exchanger tank whereby heat is only transferred to the liquid in the storage tank through the heat exchanger fluid. A controller actuates the burner head of the burner tube to maintain temperature of the heat exchanger fluid between upper and lower temperature limits. The operation of the burner head is interrupted in response to temperature of the liquid in the storage tank exceeding an upper limit, or fluid level in the heat exchanger tank being below a lower limit as determined by respective sensors.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2014Date of Patent: September 15, 2020Assignee: Viro Rentals, Inc.Inventor: Lester James Thiessen

Publication number: 20190170188Abstract: A bearing assembly is for movably coupling first and second members, one being movable relative to the other. A plain bearing section includes an inner ring having a bore for receiving the first member and an outer cylindrical bearing surface. An outer ring is disposed about the inner ring and has an inner cylindrical bearing surface disposed against the inner ring bearing surface, one bearing surface sliding against the other when the movable member displaces about a first axis. The two rings engage to prevent relative displacement between the rings when the movable member displaces about a second axis. An elastomeric bearing section is disposed about the plain bearing section, is connected with the second member and is formed such that at least a portion of the elastomeric bearing section flexes when the movable member angularly displaces about the second axis.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2017Publication date: June 6, 2019Inventors: Daniel Riedl, Lester James, Michael Colton, Will Curry

Publication number: 20190144106Abstract: A bearing assembly is for movably coupling first and second members, one being movable relative to the other. A plain bearing section includes an inner ring connectable with the first member and an outer convex bearing surface. An outer ring is disposed about the inner ring and has an inner concave bearing surface disposed against the inner ring bearing surface. The two bearing surfaces are formed such that one bearing surfaces slides against the other when the movable member displaces about a first axis and two bearing surfaces engage to prevent displacement between the two rings when the movable member displaces about a second axis. An elastomeric bearing section is disposed about the plain bearing section, is connected with the second member and formed such that at least a portion of the elastomeric bearing section flexes when the movable member angularly displaces about the second axis.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2017Publication date: May 16, 2019Inventors: Dan Riedl, Lester James, Michael Colton, Will Curry

Publication number: 20180058184Abstract: A dual tank structure includes first and second tanks with a common secondary containment structure which are all integrally supported on a common base frame. The common base frame includes longitudinal skids so as to be suitable for transport using a conventional winch truck. A passageway with an integral valve therein permits selective communication between the tanks. The common containment structure has a containment volume which is greater than a storage volume of a largest one of the first tank and the second tank and which is less than a combined storage volume of both the first tank and the second tank.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2017Publication date: March 1, 2018Inventor: Lester James Thiessen

Patent number: 9832933Abstract: A grain bin aeration system has inlet ducting in communication with the hollow interior of the storage bin adjacent a perimeter of the storage bin and exhaust ducting in communication with the hollow interior of the storage bin at a central location within the storage bin. A first portion of the inlet ducting is directed to the top end of the bin so that aeration flow therethrough is directed downwardly through the material in the storage bin to the exhaust ducting. A second portion of the inlet ducting is directed to the bottom end of the bin so that aeration flow therethrough is directed upwardly through the material in the storage bin to the exhaust ducting.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2014Date of Patent: December 5, 2017Inventor: Lester James Thiessen

Patent number: 9731893Abstract: In an oil storage tank having an interior oil storage chamber and a tank opening in one of the boundary walls, a heating assembly is supported to extend into the interior oil storage chamber from the tank opening. The assembly includes a casing of walls surrounding with a casing mounting flange mountable in sealing engagement relative to a tank mounting flange about the full perimeter of the tank opening such that the casing protrudes into the interior oil storage chamber of the oil storage tank. The heating chamber is suitable sized and configured to operably receive a catalytic heater therein. The heating chamber further accommodates entry of combustion air and combustion fuel into the heating chamber and exhaust of emissions therefrom.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2015Date of Patent: August 15, 2017Assignee: ENVIRO PRODUCTION SYSTEMS INC.Inventor: Lester James Thiessen

Publication number: 20170081836Abstract: A hopper support cone for a grain bin includes a perimeter footing support, upstanding support legs mounted on the footing support, and an inverted cone shaped hopper wall carried by the support legs in a suspended position above a support surface. The hopper support cone features top and bottom junctions respectively located at top and bottom ends of support legs and respectively joining each support leg to each of the hopper wall and the footing support. Each of the top and bottom junctions comprise upper and lower bracing members forming gusset-like structures which provide rigidity for the hopper support cone while leaving a continuous portion of the length of each support leg uninterrupted between the top and bottom junctions and a continuous portion of the hopper wall uninterrupted from the central opening thereof towards the peripheral edge. Thus, access to the continuous portion of the hopper wall is unobstructed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2016Publication date: March 23, 2017Inventor: Lester James Thiessen
