  • Publication number: 20070049712
Abstract: Copolymers and terpolymers containing acyclic aliphatic olefin derived units and polar monomer derived units are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of making such copolymers and terpolymers using late transition metal catalyst complexes.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 17, 2006
    Publication date: March 1, 2007
    Applicant: Rohm and Haas Company

  • Publication number: 20060127729
Abstract: A fuel cell comprising a membrane electrode assembly, and an IR transmissive window for thermographic analysis of a surface of the membrane electrode assembly is described. The test fuel cell provides a method of monitoring a fuel cell, and capturing a thermographic profile of said fuel cell with an IR detector array, while simultaneously measuring the electrochemical output of the cell, including current, voltages and half cell potentials.

  • Publication number: 20050215735
Abstract: A process for polymerizing and copolymerizing cyclic olefins, such as, norbornene is disclosed. The disclosed process uses a catalyst complex that exhibit a high activity for the polymerization and co-polymerization of cyclic olefins and improved stability toward heat, oxygen and moisture.

  • Publication number: 20050063862
Abstract: A system for measuring diffusion of a compound across a membrane generally comprises a membrane held between a first base having a plurality of outwardly extending hollow projections and a second base fastened to the first base and having a plurality of recessed tapered openings therein adapted to engage the plurality of hollow projections. Methods for measuring membrane diffusion using such systems are included. The system components are also provided in kit form.

  • Patent number: 4294439
Abstract: There is disclosed a novel spring shackle for pivotally supporting one end of a spring on a vehicle frame and having a body member with a central portion and two end portions, one end portion being attached to the spring or frame member, the other end portion being tapered and bent in a helical fashion and having an end received in a recess in the end portion to provide a cylinder having a substantially continuous inner surface of generally uniform radius. Press fit in the cylinder is an elastomeric bushing having a metallic sleeve press fit therein. A novel method of making a shackle is also disclosed, the method comprising the steps of providing a body member with a central portion and two end portions, one of which is formed into a cylinder, inserting an elastomeric bushing into the cylinder in a press fit and then press fitting a metallic sleeve into the elastomeric bushing.
