  • Patent number: 4060544
Abstract: A phenyl amino compound having a tertiary amino group contain one or two N-bonded --C.sub.2 H.sub.4 CONHC(CH.sub.3).sub.2 CH.sub.2 COCH.sub.3 moieties; said tertiary amino group being bonded through the nitrogen atom to the phenyl group. These compounds are suitable for use as coupling agents in the preparation of keto-amido containing aminophenyl-azo dyestuffs.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 18, 1975
Date of Patent: November 29, 1977
    Assignee: GAF Corporation
Inventors: Lester N. Stanley, Russell E. Farris
  • Patent number: 4039524
Abstract: A benzothiazole azo dyestuff containing a benzene coupling component which, para to the azo bridge, is substituted by a secondary or tertiary amine group containing one or two N-bonded --C.sub.2 H.sub.4 --CO--NHC(CH.sub.3).sub.2 CH.sub.2 COCH.sub.3 moieties. These dyestuffs are suitable for dyeing synthetic fibers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 17, 1975
Date of Patent: August 2, 1977
    Assignee: GAF Corporation
Inventors: Lester N. Stanley, Russell E. Farris
  • Patent number: 3931145
Abstract: An azo dyestuff containing a benzene coupling component which para to the azo bridge is substituted by a secondary or tertiary amine group containing one or two N-bonded --C.sub.2 H.sub.4 CONHC(CH.sub.3).sub.2 CH.sub.2 COCH.sub.3 said dyestuff having the general formula ##SPC1##Wherein D is the radical of a diazo component and the phenyl ring can be substituted or unsubstituted. These dyestuffs are suitable for dyeing synthetic, particularly polyester fibers. The dyes undergo durable press treatment without obvious loss of fastness properties such as light or ozone fastness.
