The method comprises administering to such patient an effective amount of a calcium channel blocking drug or a pharmaceutically acceptable non-toxic salt thereof to reduce said necrosis of said flap. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions suitable for use in reducing soft tissue flap necrosis.
