  • Patent number: 7117697
Abstract: The handcuff assembly includes a bow pivotally connected to a cheek plate frame assembly which includes a base frame. A removable lockset assembly for locking a pawl relative to ratchet teeth on the bow and including a slideable lock bar is received in the base frame. A key receiving structure on each side of the lockset assembly is provided for receiving a key and enabling the key to turned in one direction only for first unlocking a double-lock, which prevents movement of the bow in either direction and for secondly, completely unlocking the handcuff by moving the pawl away from the bow and against a spring mechanism. An easily deflectable detent is provided on a lockset housing for releaseably locking the lockset assembly within the base frame of the cheek plate assembly.

  • Patent number: 7062943
Abstract: The handcuff assembly includes a bow pivotally connected to a cheek plate frame assembly which includes a unitized frame that is die stamped from a metal plate and which is overmolded with a polymer overmold. The bow and arcuate cheek arms engage a wrist of a person to be restrained with an envelope of the bow being defined by a conic path with an increasing arc. The bow and cheek arms have rounded inner edge surfaces. The cheek arms have reinforcing ribs. The molded polymer covering surrounding the cheek arms provide a round on the inner edge of the cheek arms which engage a wrist. The unitized frame has interlocking tabs on folded side plates of a base frame. A flat is provided on an outer surface of the bow for lining up a point of contact with a wrist. A removable lockset assembly for locking a pawl relative to ratchet teeth on the bow and including a slideable lock bar is received in the base frame.

  • Patent number: 6027104
Abstract: A security enclosure for children and pets is disclosed which is formed from a plurality of identical interlocking panels. Each panel comprises a panel body having opposed inner and outer faces and first and second opposite sides. First and second hinge members are disposed on the first panel body side in vertically spaced relation, and a third hinge member is disposed on the second body side having a vertical dimension which corresponds to the vertical spacing of the first and second hinge members. A spring loaded engagement member holds the third hinge member in interlocking relation between the first and second hinge members. A circular array of gear teeth formed on the respective hinge members hold adjacent panels in a predetermined angular relationship and are constructed to permit relative angular adjustment between the adjacent panels. The hinge means are offset in such a manner that adjacent panels can be folded in flat, face-to-face relation.

  • Patent number: 5975015
Abstract: A feeding apparatus (device) has a housing including two members. These two members are telescoping arranged when the housing is in a disassembled position. Upon assembly of the housing, by moving these members with respect to each other, the members resiliently deform with respect to each other, and once the assembled position is reached, the peripheral surfaces of each member are in an abutment sufficient to inhibit the members, and thus, the housing, from collapsing. By making the housing in this manner, assembly is simple, and the feeding apparatus (device) is economical, as packaging volume, and resulting shipping volume, are reduced, when compared to contemporary feeding apparatus (devices).
