Lester V. Broersma has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Abstract: A protective face mask with a mask body and a removable lens. A lens retaining assembly connects the lens to the mask body. Typically, the lens retaining assembly includes a retaining plug and a locking strap to selectively capture the lens. The locking strap flexes between a locked and open position.
Abstract: A head shield device having a frame and a replaceable lens. An engagement axle having an large dimension and a small dimension is attached to the frame. The lens defines an aperture with a neck and an enlarged inner body. The small dimension of the axle is adapted to pass through the neck and rotation of the axle to the large dimension locks the lens in place on the frame. The axle rotation is controlled by a control device located on a tab assembly forming the engagement axle.
Abstract: An integrated paintball marker having an integrated hopper in the marker body. The integrated hopper is connected by a sliding mechanism and provides for a center of gravity closer to the user's hand as well as reduced extremities for targeting by other players or for catching on foreign objects. The hopper is removable from the body using a connector and lock system that is separate from the exit port and which allows positioning on the marker while blocking the exit port from the hopper compartment.
Abstract: Each one of a set of substitutable paintball magazines of different capacities can be quickly mounted on a universal coupling base plugged into the projectile feeding port of a paintball marker. The coupling base incorporates a motor whose shaft connects to a paintball agitator within the magazine. The set of magazines offers a convenient selection of loading capacities to accommodate a variety of game circumstances and environments.
Abstract: Each of a set of substitutable paintball magazines quickly attaches to a coupling feeder mounted on the ammunition intake port of a paintball marker, replacing the traditional hopper and sets of paintball cartridges. The coupling feeder includes a motor-driven paintball feeding mechanism.
Abstract: An auto-adapting fitting for releasably connecting in an end-to-end orientation, a first tube end to a second tube end having an outer diameter within a specified range for use between the ammunition feed port of a paintball gun and the outlet port of a paintball magazine. The fitting is formed onto the end portion of the gun inlet tube. The fitting comprises a resilient sleeve-shaped collar having a number of radially, inwardly extending projections that pass through corresponding radially penetrating holes through the side wall of the end portion of the feed port near its upper opening. The projections bear against the outer surface of the magazine outlet tube. Magazine outlet tubes of a larger outer diameter will cause the collar to be resiliently pushed outwardly.
Abstract: A combination wrap-around mask and goggle is made from a single transparent and flexible plastic material monolithically formed in a single cavity mold. The structure is devoid of any cavities or protrusions that could interfere with the easy withdrawal of the device from the mold. Front to back oriented ribs, gussets and fins are used to impart rigidity to various areas of the structure.
Abstract: A protective helmet having dome-shaped body means, the combination comprising a retention strap associated with the body means; and a first cavity in the body means in which a substantial length of the strap is stored in position to be pulled out of the cavity for use in retaining the helmet to the head of a user.
Abstract: A protective helmet having a dome-shaped body and air vent structure in the body comprising a body consisting of molded, synthetic resin sections, a first the section having relatively higher density and a second the section having relatively lower density; the first section extending in strengthening adjacency to the second section, laterally of the vent structure.
