  • Patent number: 10679492
Abstract: A device and method for detecting motion with antimasking capability. In one example, the device includes an antenna, a dual-channel reception circuit, and an electronic processor. The dual-channel reception circuit includes a first channel and a second channel. The electronic processor is electrically connected to the dual-channel reception circuit and is configured to receive a first signal from the first channel indicative of motion at a first range, and receive a second signal from the second channel indicative of motion at a second range. At least a portion of the second range is shorter than the first range. Based on the first signal and the second signal, the electronic processor is configured to generate a notification.

    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
    Inventors: William DiPoala, Lev Altman
  • Patent number: 10473777
Abstract: A motion detector and method of operating the motion detector including an antenna configured to transmit radio frequency (RF) signals and receive reflected RF signals. The motion detector also includes a controller configured to generate a notification when a target object is detected and an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) electrically coupled to the antenna and the controller. The ASIC is configured to generate and send the RF signals to the antenna and to receive the reflected RF signals via the antenna. The ASIC also receives at least one control parameter from the controller and sends an output signal to the controller indicative of motion of a target object based on the at least one control parameter and the reflected RF signals.

Abstract: A device and method for detecting motion with antimasking capability. The device including an antenna (135), a dual-channel reception circuit, and an electronic processor (125). The dual-channel reception circuit includes a first channel (110) and a second channel (115).

  • Patent number: 6819480
Abstract: A method and apparatus for modifying the extinction ratio of a modulated optical signal by adapting a modulator driver signal in response to differences in spectral regions of the modulated optical signal. In another embodiment for modifying the extinction ratio of a modulated optical signal, a modulator signal is adapted in response to differences between a profile of the modulated optical signal and a desired profile.
