    Abstract: A switching device for the indirect activation and/or termination of systems operatively coupled to the switching device includes a manipulating member, an impulsing means, a circuit completion means adapted to be activated by said impulsing means, and a displaceable shielding means. The members are arranged such that upon manipulation of the manipulating member, the shielding means is displaced whereby the circuit completion means causes activation of the external system to which the device is wired.
