Publication number: 20210056157Abstract: Optimizations are provided for distinguishing between webpages that are cached and webpages that have been or currently are displayed on a user interface. In some instances, a list of webpages is generated in response to a query entered by a user. Then, a determined number of webpages that were included in the list are cached in memory. These cached webpages each have an associated agent string, and at least some of these agent strings are updated to reflect a cached status. Subsequently, a first webpage is displayed on a user interface. This first webpage was included among those webpages that were cached. Further, the agent string for this webpage is updated to reflect an in-view status. In response to the first webpage being replaced by a second webpage, the agent string for the second webpage is then updated to reflect the in-view status.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2020Publication date: February 25, 2021Inventors: Jason Bosarge, D. Levi King, Spencer Patrick Smith

Patent number: 10860674Abstract: Optimizations are provided for generating a list of search results. At a user interface, a query is received from a user who is using the user interface. This query includes a request to access digital content. In response to the request, a set of query results is obtained. This set of query results includes a first list of selectable links. Each of these links is associated with the digital content requested by the query and is prioritized according to a particular order. Then, an access performance rate is determined for at least some of the links included within the first list. A second list of links is then generated by evaluating the links of the first list against a set of rules. This set of rules prioritizes the links based at least partially on the determined access performance rates. Subsequently, the user interface is updated to reflect the second list.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2018Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: CAKE TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Jason Bosarge, D. Patent number: 10268654Abstract: Systems, methods and devices are provided for generating and suppressing indexes that are utilized for navigating content. After a search query is processed, search results are received. These search results comprise a URL listing, or other webpage listing, identified in the search results. Then, prior to and without rendering the particular URL/webpage listing, a particular webpage is identified from the search results. The system initiates a request for the particular webpage prior to rendering the URL/webpage listing. That URL/webpage is then accessed and displayed automatically, while providing a one input link to the URL/webpage listing, and sometimes without or at least prior to displaying the URL/webpage listing.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2017Date of Patent: April 23, 2019Assignee: Cake Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jason Bosarge, D. Publication number: 20190034541Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying and requesting content related to a webpage. Such an exemplary computer-implemented method can include the acts of receiving instructions at the browser to request a first webpage, identifying content on the first webpage, generating and sending a search query to a search engine based on the identified content, and receiving search results from the search engine based on the search query. The search results can include a listing of webpages identified by the search engine, and without displaying the search results, a request can be initiated for a plurality of webpages from the listing of webpages.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2018Publication date: January 31, 2019Inventors: Jason Bosarge, D. Publication number: 20180129748Abstract: Systems, methods and devices are provided for suppressing and utilizing a SERP. Upon generating and sending a search query to a search engine, a browser will receive search results from the search engine based on the search query, the search results comprising a SERP (search engine result page). Then, prior to and without rendering the SERP, the browser will identify a particular webpage identified in the search results. That webpage will be accessed and displayed automatically, prior to displaying the SERP, while a one input link to the SERP will also be displayed concurrently with the webpage.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2018Publication date: May 10, 2018Inventors: Jason Bosarge, D. Publication number: 20170373988Abstract: Computer systems and computer-implemented methods for determining a likelihood an application will exceed one or more of a resource utilization threshold or a resource demand threshold include receiving data for a plurality of applications, and based on the received data, determining one or more of a resource utilization or a resource demand for at least a subset of applications of the plurality of applications. A method additionally includes identifying a pattern from the received data, the pattern being associated with one or more of the resource utilization or the resource demand for the subset of applications, and based on the pattern, determining one or more of a resource utilization threshold or a resource demand threshold. A method can further include determining a likelihood the application will exceed one or more of the resource utilization threshold or the resource demand threshold.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2017Publication date: December 28, 2017Inventors: Hadley Soffe, Caton Hanson, Jesse Harding, Levi King
