    Abstract: A hardened slip and a method of making the hardened slip are disclosed. A method of hard surfacing a slip component for a downhole tool is disclosed. The slip component may have a bearing surface and may be composed of a base material, the base material being metallic. The method may comprise steps of positioning at least the bearing surface of the slip component with a direct contact with a boron source; bonding an external layer at least on the bearing surface to form a metallurgical bond between boron from the boron source with the base material by boriding the base material; and maintaining a bulk temperature of the slip component below a melting point of the base material.

The speaker of the present invention constitutes another vibration system by means of a magnet or a magnetic bowl and a spring damping element, which vibrates opposite to the vibration system consisting of a diaphragm-dome-voice coil, resulting in a reduction of the force on the cone frame; the addition of a counterweight block reduces the effect of air in the rear cavity on the magnet; the magnetic through-holes and leakage holes optimize vibration damping.

The method includes the following steps: using a cathode hydrogen charging method and a wet hydrogen sulfide environment method respectively to perform hydrogen charging on each sample to be tested under different reaction conditions to obtain several first hydrogen charging samples and second hydrogen charging samples; measuring the hydrogen content of each of the first hydrogen charging sample and the second hydrogen charging sample; performing curve fitting on the variables in the two methods respectively according to the obtained hydrogen content, and the hydrogen charging model for pipeline steel in the equivalent wet hydrogen sulfide environment is obtained according to the fitting result.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a rapid and comprehensive method for evaluating pitting resistance of stainless steel pipe welds. Weld samples are collected from different positions of one or more welds on the stainless steel pipe to obtain the surface oxide inclusion density and critical pitting temperature of each weld sample, the surface oxidation inclusion density is taken as an independent variable and the critical pitting temperature is taken as a dependent variable to obtain a fitting function formula between the surface oxidation inclusion density and the critical pitting temperature. The surface oxide inclusion density obtained by adopting the same welding process on the stainless steel pipe to be tested is substituted into the fitting function formula to obtain a standard critical pitting temperature of the weld to be tested. The pitting resistance of the weld of the stainless steel pipe to be tested can be evaluated rapidly, accurately, and comprehensively.

The dissolvable magnesium alloy can be dissolved completely and controlled at a dissolving rate so as to be compatible with downhole operations, including hydraulic fracturing operations. The alloy includes nickel at 0.04-0.4% by weight and the balance of magnesium. The alloy is dissolvable in KCl at 2.1% by weight and 95° C. with a dissolving rate in a range of 10-100 mg/cm2/hr, yield strength in a range of 18-37 ksi, ultimate tensile strength in a range of 29-47 ksi, and elongation in a range of 8-40%.
