Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an automated network-attached storage (NAS) management system in a cloud computing environment. Specifically, a server communicates with network storage clients via a network connection. The network storage clients comprise a unified storage zone for storing data. At least part of the unified storage zone is allocated to a site as site data. A virtual desktop interface (VDI) is used by a user client device to interact with management services. A management services layer provides the management services for the user client device by using requests from the user client device to perform operations relating to the management of the site data.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an approach for graphical object-based user authentication for computerized/electronic devices (e.g., touch screen devices, cell phones, computerized tablets, handheld devices, etc.). In a typical embodiment, when a user attempts to access a computerized device, the user will be presented with a plurality of graphical objects (e.g., icons, shortcuts, shapes, patterns, etc.). The user may then select a particular graphical object (e.g., via a touch screen) and perform one or more user interactions therewith. Such user interactions may include (but are not limited to) physical manipulations of the graphical object, and/or audio/video manipulations made in conjunction with the selection of the graphical object. The graphical object(s) selected and the user interaction performed will then be compared to previously stored authentication information to determine whether the access to the computerized device should be granted to the user.

Abstract: A user authenticating method is performed by a user authenticating server connectable to at least one mobile terminal and a user terminal. The user authenticating method includes: receiving access information of a network including an access identification code and an access location code from the user terminal; estimating an access location of a network based on the access location code; determining at least one mobile terminal associated with the access identification code; transmitting the estimated access location of a network to the at least one mobile terminal; and receiving a location-based access approval or access rejection determined based on the access location of a network and a location of a particular mobile terminal belonging to the at least one mobile terminal from the particular mobile terminal.

Specifically, an application development architecture is provided including a data table that stores the application-accessible data that maps to all custom objects and their fields, as defined by metadata in objects and fields. Forms, reports, work flows, user access privileges, tenant-specific customizations and business logic, and definitions of underlying data tables and indexes exist as metadata. Application components are generated at runtime using the metadata.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to software as a service (SaaS) development in a multi-tenant environment. Specifically, a platform for software as a service (SaaS) application development and customization in a multi-tenant environment is provided. An interface template is defined based on application metadata. Application metadata may comprise and/or be based upon tenant metadata (e.g., via transformation). A desired graphical user interface is rendered based on the interface template. The desired graphical user interface may be edited by the tenant. An SaaS application for the tenant based on the desired graphical user interface is generated. A tenant data service is processed using the SaaS application. The SaaS application is provided to at least one other tenant in the multi-tenant environment.
