Abstract: A SDN orchestration method includes: obtaining a first request for creating a first logical switch; creating a control plane instance of the first logical switch, and sending first configuration information to instruct the first forwarding device to configure the data plane instance of the first logical switch; obtaining a second request for connecting the first logical switch to a first logical router; sending second configuration information to instruct the first forwarding device to configure a first port of the data plane instance of the first logical switch to be communicatively connected to a second port of a data plane instance of the first logical router on the second forwarding device configured with the data plane instance of the first logical router; and sending third configuration information to instruct the second forwarding device to configure the second port to be communicatively connected to the first port.

Abstract: Providing a predictive model for a target language by determining an instance weight for a labeled source language textual unit according to a set of unlabeled target language textual units, scaling, by the one or more computer processors, an error between a predicted label for the source language textual unit and a ground-truth label for the source language textual unit according to the instance weight, updating, by the one or more computer processors, network parameters of a predictive neural network model for the target language according to the error, and providing, by the one or more computer processors, the predictive neural network model for the target language to a user.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and media are provided for the selective indication of the presence of off-screen objects in the shared gaming environment of a multiplayer game played on a mobile device. The shared gaming environment can include a game space and a plurality of objects located at various places of the game space. The player may view a portion of the game space via a screen view presented by the mobile device. The screen view can be bordered by a frame area that includes a portion of the game space that is outside of the screen view. Based on a predetermined rule set, the presence of an object that is located within the frame area can be selectively indicated within the screen view by a visual indicator, such as an icon. The visual indicator can be assembled from a library of elements to visually communicate contextually relevant information to the player.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide a method for free space optical communication performance prediction method. The method includes: in a training stage, collecting a large number of data representing FSOC performance from external data sources and through simulation in five feature categories; dividing the collected data into training datasets and testing datasets to train a prediction model based on a deep neural network (DNN); evaluating a prediction error by a loss function and adjusting weights and biases of hidden layers of the DNN to minimize the prediction error; repeating training the prediction model until the prediction error is smaller than or equal to a pre-set threshold; in an application stage, receiving parameters entered by a user for an application scenario; retrieving and preparing real-time data from the external data sources for the application scenario; and generating near real-time FSOC performance prediction results based on the trained prediction model.

Abstract: A video encoding method including obtaining a motion vector candidate list of a current image block; determining a base motion vector according to motion vectors in the motion vector candidate list; in response to the base motion vector pointing to a short-term reference image, scaling a motion vector offset of the base motion vector using a scaling factor to obtain a scaled motion vector offset, and performing prediction for the current image block according to a motion vector determined by the scaled motion vector offset and the base motion vector; and in response to the base motion vector pointing to a long-term reference image, skipping scaling of the motion vector offset, and performing prediction for the current image block according to a motion vector determined by the motion vector offset that is not scaled and the base motion vector.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying and authenticating a physical article to a virtual environment. A physical article, such as a decorative pin used in gameplay or some purchased article with anti-counterfeiting tag information, may be scanned by a mobile device and verified by a mobile device application. Such a process may uniquely identify a product as being associated with one particular customer, which may limit counterfeiting and may also allow the article to be incorporated in some form into a game or other virtual environment, such as in the form of an accessory for a game character.

Abstract: A system for detecting leakage of a liquid supply pipe includes a pipe casing for enclosing an end portion of the liquid supply pipe adjoined to a nozzle and a sensor system configured to detect presence of a liquid leaked from the liquid supply pipe at the end portion. The sensor system is in alignment with the end portion of the liquid supply pipe.

Abstract: In the field of high voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission networks there is a need for an improved power converter. A power converter, for use in a HVDC power transmission network, comprises first and second DC terminals, for connection in use to a DC network and between which extends at least one converter limb. The or each converter limb includes first and second limb portions which are separated by an AC terminal, for connection in use to an AC network. Each limb portion includes a switching valve, and the power converter including a controller programmed to control switching of the switching valves to control the flow of a converter current (Imax) through the power converter and thereby in-use transfer power between the power converter and the AC network. The power transferred between the power converter and the AC network has an active component and a reactive component.

One example method includes determining for a conversion between a block of a video and a bitstream representation of the block, that at least one of intra block copy (IBC) mode, intra mode, inter mode and palette mode is applied to multiple sub-regions of the block, wherein the block is split into two or multiple triangular or wedgelet sub-regions; and performing the conversion based on the determination.

Abstract: Exemplary semiconductor processing methods to clean a substrate processing chamber are described. The methods may include depositing a dielectric film on a first substrate in a substrate processing chamber, where the dielectric film may include a silicon-carbon-oxide. The first substrate having the dielectric film may be removed from the substrate processing chamber, and the dielectric film may be deposited on at least one more substrate in the substrate processing chamber. The at least one more substrate may be removed from the substrate processing chamber after the dielectric film is deposited on the substrate. Etch plasma effluents may flow into the substrate processing chamber after the removal of a last substrate having the dielectric film. The etch plasma effluents may include greater than or about 500 sccm of NF3 plasma effluents, and greater than or about 1000 sccm of O2 plasma effluents.

Abstract: Described are compositions and methods for inhibition of Hepatitis B virus gene expression. RNA interference (RNAi) agents for inhibiting the expression of Hepatitis B virus gene are described. The HBV RNAi agents disclosed herein may be targeted to cells, such as hepatocytes, for example, by using conjugated targeting ligands. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising one or more HBV RNAi agents optionally with one or more additional therapeutics are also described. Delivery of the described HBV RNAi agents to infected liver in vivo provides for inhibition of HBV gene expression and treatment of diseases and conditions associated with HBV infection.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a pixel layer, an image display control apparatus, a photosensitive layer, and a processor. The pixel layer includes a plurality of pixel units configured to display an image. The image display control apparatus is configured to control the plurality of pixel units to sequentially display at least one corresponding first image according to at least one first image signal. The photosensitive layer is configured to receive a reflected light formed after an emergent light emitted from the pixel layer when displaying one first image at each time is reflected by an object to be photographed, and to convert the reflected light received at each time into a second image signal. The processor is configured to determine an image of the object to be photographed according to the at least one first image signal and second image signals corresponding to the at least one first image signal.
