  • Patent number: 8368827
Abstract: An exemplary liquid crystal display device includes a data line, a pixel, a first gate line, a second gate line, an additional electrode and an additional gate line. The pixel includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The first gate line is electrically coupled to the first sub-pixel. The second gate line is electrically coupled to the second sub-pixel. The first sub-pixel is electrically coupled to the data line to receive a signal provided from the data line. The second sub-pixel is electrically coupled to the first sub-pixel through the additional electrode and to receive a signal provided from the data line through the first sub-pixel. The additional gate line is arranged crossing over the additional electrode and whereby a compensation capacitance is formed between the additional gate line and the additional electrode.

  • Patent number: 8289482
Abstract: The present invention in one aspect relates to a transflective liquid crystal display (LCD) comprising a plurality of pixels. Each pixel includes a first structure defining a reflective area and a transmissive area adjacent to the reflective area, a second structure positioned apart from the first structure to define a single cell gap therebetween, a liquid crystal layer positioned in the cell gap, and a plurality of electrodes formed on one of the first structure and the second structure such that at least two electrodes are positioned in the transmissive area and define a first distance, d1, therebetween, and at least two electrodes are positioned in the reflective area and define a second distance, d2, therebetween, where d2>d1, preferably, d2=?{square root over (2)}d1.

  • Publication number: 20110242065
Abstract: A display panel includes at least twelve sub-pixels, arranged continuously in a row. In a scanning time of the display panel, sub-pixels respectively disposed at a 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th column have a first polarity, and sub-pixels respectively disposed at a 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th column have a second polarity. The first polarity is opposite to the second polarity.

  • Publication number: 20100149142
Abstract: A pixel array including scan lines, data lines and pixels is provided. Scan lines extend along a row direction and include first and second scan lines. The first and second scan lines are arranged alternately along a column direction. Data lines extend along the column direction in a zigzag manner and include a first data line, a second data line connected to the first data line, a third data line disposed between the first and second data lines, and a fourth data line connected to the third data line. The pixels connect with corresponding scan lines and data lines. Pixels connected with the same data line are not aligned in the column direction; pixels connected with the same data line are only arranged at the same side of the data line. Pixels of any two adjacent rows are separated by a first scan line and a second scan line.

  • Patent number: 7243220
Abstract: A networking apparatus and method capable of wake-on-LAN after improper shutdown, used in a networked device. The networking apparatus at least comprises a physical layer and a medium access control (MAC) layer. When the MAC layer detects that the networked device is going to shutdown the MAC layer outputs a reset signal to the physical layer or to the switch electrically connected to the physical layer. The physical layer resets according to the reset signal. After the reset, the network apparatus operates in a lower predetermined baud, so that the networked device has the enough power to execute the wake-on-LAN function.
