  • Publication number: 20240117342
Abstract: An construction method of an embryonic chromosome signal library is provided. The construction method comprises obtaining an embryo and performing whole-genome amplification and next-generation sequencing to obtain a first chromosome signal; mapping the first chromosome signal to a chromosome reference signal to obtain a second chromosome signal; dividing the second chromosome signal within a predetermined interval range to obtain a third chromosome signal; and performing a regression correction on the sequencing read count (RC) of the third chromosome signal to obtain an embryonic chromosome signal library. Furthermore, a detection method and system of embryonic chromosomes are also provided. Thereby, the information comparison of the embryo chromosome signal library is used to determine whether the pre-implantation embryo is abnormal or not to achieve pre-implantation chromosome screening of pre-implantation embryos.

  • Publication number: 20170177787
Abstract: A method for meta-analyzing genomewide expression data sets comprises the following steps. First, to gather a plurality of genomewide expression data sets. Next, to identify a list of differentially expressed genes from each data set and to derive a set of overrepresentation statistics from each list. Then, to combine the sets of overrepresentation statistics across the data sets and to perform overrepresentation analysis based on the combined overrepresentation statistics. The overrepresentation analysis gives a p-value to each synergic gene group for testing correlation between the synergic gene group and the phenomenon under study.

  • Publication number: 20140179559
Abstract: A method for identifying differentially expressed genes including the following steps: measure gene expression levels of test samples and control samples; estimate variances of noise in the test samples and in the control samples; based on the measured expression levels and the estimated variances of noise, derive a probability density function (PDF) for predicting the true value of each expression level measurement; normalize the PDFs; based on the normalized PDFs of the gene under test, derive a test-group PDF for predicting the gene's mean expression level in the test samples and derive a control-group PDF for predicting the gene's mean expression level in the control samples; based on the test-group PDF and the control-group PDF of the gene under test, derive a final PDF for predicting the gene's fold-change; use the final PDF to test whether the gene is differentially expressed.

  • Patent number: 7972785
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for detecting liver fibrotic injury, including fibrosis and/or cirrhosis, by assaying biological samples for differential expression of at least one gene encoding a protein chosen from SEQ ID NO: 1-SEQ ID NO: 63 and human orthologs thereof, wherein differential expression of at least one gene suggests the presence of liver fibrosis or cirrhosis. The invention also provides a kit containing nucleic acid probes or antibodies for detecting liver fibrosis and/or cirrhosis by assaying the differential expression of proteins encoded by SEQ ID NO: 1-SEQ ID NO: 63 and human orthologs thereof.
