  • Patent number: 7852027
Abstract: A method for testing a motor having a rotor and a winding is provided. The method includes steps of (a) providing a power to rotate the rotor to a predetermined speed, (b) removing the power, (c) measuring a terminal voltage of the winding while a current within the winding is zero, (d) obtaining a back electromotive force in the winding by compensating the terminal voltage with a performance of the rotor, (e) selecting a characteristic of the back electromotive force and (f) determining a magnetization of the motor by comparing the characteristic with a predetermined parameter.

  • Patent number: 7839043
Abstract: A rotary structure of a permanent magnet electric machine including a stator and a rotor is provided. The stator has K salient teeth peripherally spaced with equal intervals for forming K winding slots, wherein K is a natural number greater than 1. The rotor has an annular inner surface and has P pairs of permanent magnets peripherally spaced with equal intervals along the inner surface for rotating around the stator, wherein P is a natural number. Each permanent magnet having two sides along a peripheral direction of the rotor includes a pair of inclined surfaces on the two sides, the pair of inclined surfaces is symmetric with respect to a radial plane of the each permanent magnet, and an inclined angle ? between the inclined surface and the radial plane is selected from a range of 90(1?1/(4P))<?<90(1+1/(4P)).

  • Publication number: 20100075095
Abstract: A method for producing a manufactured wood product using less desirable or discarded natural wood and a manufactured wood product produced by the described method. This inventive method comprises utilizing less desirable or discarded natural wood pieces by slicing the wood pieces into elongated strips that are then partially separated into elongate sections that maintain fibrous connectivity between the elongate sections. The elongate sections are dried and covered or impregnated with an adhesive. A second drying follows the adhesive application and the elongated strips are then arranged lengthwise in a mold for cold or hot pressing.

  • Publication number: 20090258911
Abstract: The present invention discloses 5-methyl-1-(substituted phenyl)-2(1H)-pyridones have enhanced anti-fibrotic activities than 5-methyl-1-(non-substituted phenyl)-2(1H)-pyridones. An representative example of 5-methyl-(1-substituted phenyl)-2(1H)-pyridones is 1-(3?-fluorophenyl)-5-methyl-2(1H)-pyridone. Accordingly, there are provided compositions comprising one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of 5-methyl-1-(substituted phenyl)-2(1H)-pyridones and methods of using the same to treat or prevent fibrosis diseases.

  • Publication number: 20070143520
Abstract: An indicator pin of an input/output controller is used to identifying whether a processor or a bridge is configured in a processor. When a predetermined voltage level of the indicator pin is confirmed, a base input/output system of the computer system renews a coherent/non-coherent HyperTransport link table. Then an initialization procedure is performed in accordance with the renewed coherent/non-coherent HyperTransport link table.
