    Abstract: Preactivated and disaggregated shape-changed platelets, fixed shape-changed platelets, and a pharmaceutical composition thereof are used for treating acute and emergent inflammatory disease in a dosage of 1×106 to 1×108. SC-PLT is a disaggregated and activated platelet, the secretome from platelet activation has been deprived after SC-PLT preparation but their membrane still preserve cell adhesion molecular and integrin glycoprotein (eg. P-selectin, GP1a, and GPIIb etc.). Therefore, SC-PLTs can trap stromal vascularity inflammatory cells from inflammated and damaged place, and the stromal vascularity inflammatory cells are eliminated through the circulatory system to alleviate inflammation. The fixed shape-changed platelets are able to alleviate inflammation and sustainable for longer storage duration.

    Abstract: Resveratrol, an antioxidant found in various fruits, vegetables, grapes, and red wines, has been shown to have free radical scavenging, anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombogenic activities in biological systems. Moreover, resveratrol has also been shown to be a good cancer preventive chemical and has been recommended as a food supplement for health benefits. Resveratrol can effectively lower the blood sugar in both type 1 (insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, IDDM) and type 2 (insulin-independent diabetes mellitus, NIDDM) diabetic rats. Resveratrol could also delay the onset of the insulin-resistant phenotype in experimental rats with prolonged injection of insulin. Further, resveratrol simultaneously slows down the body weight increment compared with untreated insulin resistant animals.

    Abstract: An illumination system employs a light distribution cylinder with an exterior surface in the form of a plurality of progressively smaller-diameter cylindrical steps. The outside surface of each cylindrical step is interrupted by V-shaped grooves perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder. Each surface of these V-shaped grooves acts to internally reflect divergent light from a light source positioned at the end of the tube. The light distribution cylinders may be solid or hollow and configured with bilateral symmetry to receive light from either end. The illumination system rearranges divergent directional light from a light source into non-directional light emitted in a cylindrical pattern useful for area illumination.

The microphone is electrically connected to the circuit board. Thereby, the charging battery is electrically connected to the circuit board. When the power seat of the circuit board is connected to an external power source, the charging battery will charge an object.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for locking a gear train in high and low gear modes. A printed circuit board has first, second and third conductive pads, each of which are in electrical communication with a main circuit. A conductive clip having first and second contact portions is in slidable contact with the conductive pads, and is adapted to shift between a high gear position and a low gear position in response to actuation by an actuator. The low gear position is defined when the first contact portion contacts the first conductive pad and the second contact portion contacts the second conductive pad, and the high gear position is defined when the first contact portion contacts the second conductive pad and the second contact portion contacts the third conductive pad. The actuator is adapted to actuate the clip into the respective high and low gear positions in response to a signal from the main circuit and to cease actuation when the clip is at the respective high and low gear positions.
