  • Publication number: 20140358311
Abstract: A system and a method for collecting appliance standby electricity-saving information use a plurality of device-standby power-saving controllers to respectively transmit power-saving messages from a plurality of remote user ends through a data transmission network to a server side for recording and statistics. The system includes a data transmission network, a power-saving information collection server, a server side network connection port, at least a user side network connection device, and at least a device-standby power-saving controller. Each device-standby power-saving controller is electrically connected between an electrical appliance and a power source. Eclectic power energy that is saved is clearly counted and recorded to serve as an integrated power saving encouragement mechanism, which effectively encourages people to use power economizers to put into action of energy saving and carbon reduction thereby indeed achieving the purposes of saving energy and reducing power consumption.

  • Patent number: 8881973
Abstract: A connection setting method using a barcode pattern, a connection setting system and user equipment (UE) thereof are provided. The method includes the following steps. A connection application is installed in each of at least two pieces of UE respectively. First UE performs setting for connecting to an electronic device by a default mode and generates the barcode pattern accordingly. Then, an image capture unit of second UE is activated to capture the barcode pattern. The barcode pattern is analyzed by the connection application of the second UE, so as to obtain a plurality of parameters of connection setting in regard to the electronic device. Connection setting is performed automatically according to the parameters, such that the second UE connects to the electronic device and performs data transmission.

  • Publication number: 20110188409
Abstract: A communication network topology is determined by evaluating costs of states each representing a possible assignment of hubs and remote nodes to nodes of the communication network. The hubs connect to a central network, the remote nodes connect wirelessly to the hubs and obtain connectivity to the central network through the hubs. The cost of each state is determined based on costs for configuring each node as a hub or a remote node, uplink frequencies for sending data from the remote nodes to corresponding hubs, and downlink frequencies for sending data from the hubs to corresponding remote nodes.
