  • Publication number: 20240120388
Abstract: Provided are structures and methods for forming structures with sloping surfaces of a desired profile. An exemplary method includes performing a first etch process to differentially etch a gate material to a recessed surface, wherein the recessed surface includes a first horn at a first edge, a second horn at a second edge, and a valley located between the first horn and the second horn; depositing an etch-retarding layer over the recessed surface, wherein the etch-retarding layer has a central region over the valley and has edge regions over the horns, and wherein the central region of the etch-retarding layer is thicker than the edge regions of the etch-retarding layer; and performing a second etch process to recess the horns to establish the gate material with a desired profile.

  • Publication number: 20240113112
Abstract: Methods of cutting gate structures and fins, and structures formed thereby, are described. In an embodiment, a substrate includes first and second fins and an isolation region. The first and second fins extend longitudinally parallel, with the isolation region disposed therebetween. A gate structure includes a conformal gate dielectric over the first fin and a gate electrode over the conformal gate dielectric. A first insulating fill structure abuts the gate structure and extends vertically from a level of an upper surface of the gate structure to at least a surface of the isolation region. No portion of the conformal gate dielectric extends vertically between the first insulating fill structure and the gate electrode. A second insulating fill structure abuts the first insulating fill structure and an end sidewall of the second fin. The first insulating fill structure is disposed laterally between the gate structure and the second insulating fill structure.

  • Publication number: 20240072170
Abstract: A semiconductor device is disclosed. The semiconductor device includes a semiconductor fin. The semiconductor device includes first spacers over the semiconductor fin. The semiconductor device includes a metal gate structure, over the semiconductor fin, that is sandwiched at least by the first spacers. The semiconductor device includes a gate electrode contacting the metal gate structure. An interface between the metal gate structure and the gate electrode has its side portions extending toward the semiconductor fin with a first distance and a central portion extending toward the semiconductor fin with a second distance, the first distance being substantially less than the second distance.

  • Patent number: 10376070
Abstract: A rotatable seat for preventing falling backwards is revealed. The rotatable seat includes a seat member, a base member and a safety member for preventing users from falling backwards. Users can work out by keeping their bodies balanced or shaking their buttocks, like horseback riding while sitting on a saddle-shaped surface of the seat member. Before the users sitting on the seat member, a pommel portion of the seat member is inclined forwards, attached to and positioned on at least one support portion of the base member, unable to be moved freely due to attraction between at least one first magnet and at least one second magnet of the safety member for preventing users from falling backwards. Thus the user's backside can cross over the pommel portion easily to sit on the seat member more safely while using the rotatable seat.

  • Publication number: 20170303691
Abstract: A seat for hip shaking is set on a surface of a chair while in use. The seat for hip shaking includes a seat member and a base member arranged under the seat member. A top surface of the seat member is disposed with a saddle-shaped seat surface for users to sit thereon while a spherical surface is projecting downward from a bottom surface of the seat member. The base member has at least one support part on a top surface thereof. The spherical surface of the seat member is moveably supported by the support part of the base member and is rotated at an arbitrary angle. When a user sits on the saddle-shaped seat surface, he/she shakes the hip or maintains the balance to get the benefits of exercise like horse riding.

  • Publication number: 20110109145
Abstract: An armrest assembly applied to connect an armrest with a seat bottom. The armrest includes an armrest member, an armrest support and a fastening plate extending from a bottom end of the armrest support toward the seat. The fastening plate is arranged with a plurality of fastening holes so that the fastening plate is secured on the seat bottom by inserting screws through the fastening holes. The armrest assembly uses a pad with tapered plane being fixed on a fastening plate on a bottom side of an armrest support to adjust the relative position of the fastening plate and a bottom side of the seat. Thus the armrests are arranged vertically on two sides of the chair. Moreover, one armrest of the present invention is applied to connect with a plurality of chair seats so as to increase applications of the armrest.

  • Publication number: 20110095588
Abstract: A two-stage adjusting member for adjusting slope of a seat back formed by a first stage adjusting member and a second stage adjusting member is disclosed. A user operates the first stage adjusting member so that the seat back reclines from 90 degrees to 70 degrees to the horizontal. Then the users operates the second stage adjusting member so as to make the seat back further incline backward such as 10 degrees more to another slope. Thus the seat back slope is adjusted in two stages and such design is much more safer for users and can prevent danger or harm caused by suddenly reclining.

  • Publication number: 20110095591
Abstract: A headrest bracket for office chairs includes a first bracket having a fastening surface on one side thereof for being fixed on a rear side of a seat back of an office chair, a first pivoting member disposed on a corresponding side, a second bracket whose lower end is disposed with a second pivoting member that forms an angle adjustment mechanism with the first pivoting member at different angles. While assembling the first and the second brackets to form a headrest bracket, there are various assembling models with different angles between the second bracket and the fastening surface of the first bracket formed by means of the angle adjustment mechanism so that the headrest bracket can be assembled with different types of seat back of the office chair.

  • Publication number: 20110089738
Abstract: A headrest set for office chairs includes a bracket whose lower end is fastened on a rear side of a seat back while a top end of the bracket connects with and supports a backside plate of the headrest, a headrest, and an elastic buffering member arranged between the backside plate of the headrest and the top end of the bracket. By deformation of an elastic member, the headrest set has buffering effects. When the user's head suddenly leans against a headrest surface or the user changes the posture from sitting to reclining, the impact caused by the reaction force of the headrest surface is buffered and the headrest surface is automatically adjusted so as to enhance comfort of the headrest.
