    Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for coefficient coding in transform skip mode are described. An exemplary method for visual media processing includes: for encoding a current video block in a video region of a visual media data into a bitstream representation of the visual media data, identifying usage of a coding mode and/or an intra prediction mode and/or a set of allowable intra prediction modes; and upon identifying the usage, making a decision of whether to include or exclude, in the bitstream representation, a syntax element indicative of selectively applying a transform skip mode to the current video block, wherein, in the transform skip mode, a residual of a prediction error between the current video block and a reference video block is represented in the bitstream representation of the visual media data without applying a transformation.

The geometric partitioning mode index specifies a geometric splitting shape of a geometric partitioning mode applied to the current video block. The rule specifies that the geometric partitioning mode index is coded with a fixed-length binarization.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a glitch removal circuit with low latency. The glitch removal circuit includes a first signal edge detector, a second signal edge detector, a latch, and a control signal generator. The first signal edge detector is activated according to the first control signal to detect the rising edge of the input signal to generate the first detection result. The second signal edge detector is activated according to the second control signal to detect the falling edge of the input signal to generate the second detection result. The latch sets the generated output signal according to the first detection result, and clears the generated output signal according to the second detection result. The control signal generator shields the glitch on the input signal to generate a processed signal, and generates a first control signal and a second control signal according to the processed signal.

    Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure describe a stressed Ge PD and fabrications techniques for making the same. In one embodiment, a stressor material is deposited underneath an already formed Ge PD. To do so, wafer bonding can be used to bond the wafer containing the Ge PD to a second, handler wafer. Doing so provides support to remove the substrate of the wafer so that a stressor material (e.g., silicon nitride, diamond-like carbon, or silicon-germanium) can be disposed underneath the Ge PD. The stress material induces a stress or strain in the crystal lattice of the Ge which changes its bandgap and improves its responsivity.
