    Abstract: First and second hash values are generated using a key constructed from information associated with a packet. A block number is read from a cell in a slot in a first table, with the slot in the first table being indexed by the first hash value and the cell being indexed by the second hash value. A memory access operation directed to a block in a slot in a second table is performed to read data including packet-processing information for the packet from the block. The slot in the second table is indexed by the first hash value and the block is indexed by the block number. The packet is processed in accordance with the packet-processing information.

    Abstract: A method and system for implementing a pseudo wire control word capability negotiation are disclosed in the present document. The method includes: when modifying a local control word value, a Provider Edge (PE) acquiring a control word value configured or negotiated locally by an opposite terminal provider edge by sending label request message and receiving label mapping message, and according to the local control word value and the acquired control word value, the provider edge determining a control word value negotiated with respect to a pseudo wire. In the present document, the problem of inconsistency between the control word configurations and the expected negotiation results existing in certain specific scenarios is solved, which enhances the negotiation performance. The technical scheme of the present document makes slight modifications on the existing protocol, and it is applicable to a single segment pseudo wire scenario and a multiple segment pseudo wire scenario.

The method includes the following steps: a head node sends a PATH message for establishing or updating an LSP to an end node, wherein the message carries an object for identifying association; the end node sends to the head node a PATH message for establishing or updating an LSP as a reverse LSP corresponding to the above LSP, wherein the message carries an object for identifying association; in the case that the attributes of the objects for identifying association carried in the PATH messages sent by the head node and the end node are the same, the LSP and the reverse LSP are associated with each other by the head node and the end node and become an associated bidirectional LSP.

    Abstract: A method for implementing Identity and Locator Split is provided. The method is applied in a MPLS network. ITR and ETR are also LERs in the MPLS network. The method includes: establishing a point to point LSP tunnel between ITR and ETR by running a MPLS signaling protocol; the ITR storing an EID of endpoint and RLOC mapping as well as a RLOC and outer MPLS label mapping, and forwarding the endpoint's data packets in the MPLS network based on the outer MPLS label corresponding to the RLOC. A data encapsulation method for Identity and Locator Split and a LER device in the Identity and Locator Split network are also provided in the present invention. The present invention greatly improves the encapsulation and transmission efficiency of LISP data packets in the MPLS network.

The method includes: a root node provider edge (PE) in the VPLS network transmitting at least one of broadcast message, multicast message and unknown unicast message to leaf nodes PE in the same VPLS through a point-to-multipoint pseudo wire (P2MP PW). The present invention transmits messages through the P2MP PW between a PE and other PEs, thus decreasing the number of redundant messages on a physical link, increasing the forwarding efficiency of network, and reducing the network operating costs.
