  • Publication number: 20090093149
Abstract: A connector housing for flat wiping electrical contacts, and methods for making and using it, where a housing has front and backside components formed and assembled so as to define a passageway thorough it with spring slots in the sidewalls for holding a leaf spring. The parting line between the components intersects the spring slots. The components are assembled with a flat wiping contact leaf spring having been placed between them with its supporting tabs in the spring slot so as to be confined in the spring slots by the step of assembling. The housing face has chin and hood structure associated with flat wiping contacts, configured for both straight in and rotational connecting motion.

  • Patent number: 6994598
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a housing with at least one through passage, at least one socket contact, at least one pin contact, and at least one pin plate. The socket contact is at least partially disposed in one end of the through passage in the housing and has a socket passage. The pin contact is at least partially disposed in another end of the through passage in the housing and detachably mates with the socket passage. The socket plate is detachably secured to the housing about the socket contact adjacent the one end of the through passage. The pin plate which is detachably secured to the housing about the pin contact adjacent the other end of the through passage.

  • Patent number: 6923685
Abstract: An electrical connection system includes a first electrical connector, a second electrical connector and a locking device. The first electrical connector has a first housing with one or more locking indents. The second electrical connector has a second housing with one or more slots. Each of the slots in the second housing is in alignment with one of the locking indents in the first housing when the second electrical connector is coupled to the first electrical connector. The locking device has one or more arms and each of the arms has one or more projections. Each of the projections extends into one of the locking indents in the first housing through one of the slots in the second housing when the locking device is seated over at least a portion of the second housing to lock the first electrical connector to the second electrical connector.
