Publication number: 20230022584Abstract: A hearing aid includes a microphone, an electro-acoustic transducer, and a housing that supports the electro-acoustic transducer such that the housing and the electro-acoustic transducer together define a first acoustic volume and a second acoustic volume. The electro-acoustic transducer is arranged such that a first radiating surface of the transducer radiates acoustic energy into the front acoustic volume and such that a second radiating surface of the transducer radiates acoustic energy into the second acoustic volume. The hearing aid is configured such that the first and second acoustic volumes are acoustically coupled to the microphone when the hearing aid is worn. The housing supports an acoustic element that is acoustically coupled to the microphone and the second acoustic volume and is arranged such that acoustic energy radiated from the acoustic element sums with acoustic energy leaked from the first acoustic volume at the microphone so as to cancel each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2022Publication date: January 26, 2023Applicant: Bose CorporationInventor: Liam Kelly

Publication number: 20200003400Abstract: The present invention is therefore designed provide a handsfree concentrated light beam that is directed at a targeted location. The light source is integrated with a head harness, which also houses a battery pack that is positioned in a such a way that creates a perfectly balanced device. The positioning of the battery pack ensures that the harness may be worn continuously without the risk of self-displacement on account of unbalanced weight. The battery back may be easily and quickly replaced. As an additional benefit, the head harness may be weather protected with a hat adornment that accommodates controls for the harness. The invention provides for weather proofing the harness by wrapping within a warm fabric wrap.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2019Publication date: January 2, 2020Inventor: Liam Kelly

Publication number: 20190231501Abstract: A speculum tool that adds a lower strap at a point that does not interfere with the with the movement of the jaws of the speculum. The lower strap provides a low point of attachment for the tool. Until now, equine speculums were tethered by the upper strap, with the tether secured onto an immobile structure, such as a wall of a barn. The rear strap would then be looping behind the ears of the patient and back to the opposite side of the speculum's upper jaw. In this way the upper strap provided an overhead attachment that elevated the animal's head during procedure, while the ear strap provided a lower attachment to keep the speculum from slipping off the head and to keep the upper strap from raising the head of an animal too high. The present invention adds additional low point attachment to an already improved rear strap for additional tethering security and as an additional factor in minimizing the risks of harming eyesight and spinal cords of equine patients.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2019Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventor: Liam Kelly
