  • Publication number: 20150113462
Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for generating an operational user interface for a building management system are described herein. One method includes generating a widget using geometrical information associated with a building information modeling object and relationship information associated with the building information modeling object, assigning a state variable to the widget by analyzing properties of the building information modeling object or an ontology definition of the building information modeling object, associating the state variable with a point from the building operation system by mapping the point to the state variable, and changing the state variable based on input received from a user.

  • Publication number: 20140152651
Abstract: Three dimensional (3D) operational user interface generation systems and methods are described herein. For example, one or more embodiments include calculating a number of locations for a virtual camera, placing the virtual camera at each of the number of locations, generating a 3D image at each of the number of locations, implementing object information for each pixel of the 3D image, and generating a 3D user interface utilizing the 3D image at each of the number of locations.

  • Publication number: 20130257850
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable and executable instructions are provided for extracting relationship data from building information model (BIM) data. Extracting relationship data from BIM data can include generating a three dimensional geometric model of a number of objects within the BIM data. Extracting relationship data from BIM data can also include determining a number of spatial relationships between a number of objects, wherein the spatial relationships are determined from the three dimensional geometric model. Furthermore, extracting relationship data from BIM data can include exporting the spatial relationships based on a number of criteria.

  • Publication number: 20120221374
Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for measuring information cohesion in an operating environment are described herein. One or more device embodiments include a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor can be configured to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to receive a measurement of an information cohesion factor associated with an operating environment through an interaction with a human user via a user interface for information entry, analysis, and visualization, and determine a risk score associated with the operating environment by applying a weighting factor to the measurement of the information cohesion factor, wherein the weighting factor is based, at least in part, on a cognitive effect associated with the information cohesion factor.

  • Patent number: 7652569
Abstract: A monitoring system for purposes of enhancing independent living incorporates a wearable communication device, such as a cellular telephone, in combination with a recharging base which might be coupled to a wire line telephone system. Either or both of the base station and wearable device can be in communication with sensors scattered through an individual's residence for purposes of collecting data pertaining to activities of daily living. Either or both of the wearable unit and base station could incorporate sensors responsive to physiological parameters of the resident. Both units can independently communicate with third party monitors to communicate data about, or direct immediate attention to the state of an individual using the system.

  • Publication number: 20100013597
Abstract: A locked medication container can be unlocked opened in response to a person's matching biometric characteristic and satisfaction of pre-established rules of access relating to day and time. One type of characteristic is a finger or thumb print. A communication can be sent to a remote site indicating that access was attempted by a specific person at a specific date and time and was successful or unsuccessful.

  • Patent number: 7646307
Abstract: A system and method for visualizing the location and movement of people in facilities. The facility is provided with a plurality of sensors such as RF or IR sensors that communicate with a badge worn by each individual and selected physical assets in the facility. The sensors send data to a processor which displays the data on a monitor in a form that permits ready visualization of the individuals, and allows the observer to select information as needed. The display may directly indicate certain specifics about an individual based on data stored in the processor or entered by the observer.

  • Publication number: 20080228039
Abstract: A method and system for determining the status and monitoring an unattended individual. A radio beacon device can be associated with one or more individuals (e.g., an unattended person). Behavioral information about the individual(s) can be collected by tracking the location of the individual within a particular area (e.g., home, assisted living facility, etc.) utilizing the radio beacon device. The presence of other persons can then be distinguished from that of the individual within said particular area utilizing said behavioral information collected about said individual, thereby permitting a determination of the status of said individual and distinguishing the presence of other persons within said particular area. The behavioral information can include, for example, one or more activity levels associated with the individual.
