Abstract: Technologies are provided for generation of recommendation results using a verbal query. In one embodiment, query data can be generated using a searchable query corresponding to the verbal query. The query data can define a query browse node and a product brand, for example. First product identifiers that match the searchable query can be determined using multiple data repositories. Duplicates from the first product identifiers can be removed, resulting in second product identifiers. Attribute data also can be generated using the second product identifiers. The attribute data can define features for a product identifier. Further, third product identifiers can be determined by applying a filtering model to the second product identifiers. A ranking of the third product identifiers can be generated using an optimization function based on the query data and the product attribute data. A product corresponding to one of the ranked product identifiers represents a recommendation result.

Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for ranking of search results based on multiple objectives. In various examples, a first set of search results may be determined. A first objective and a second objective for ranking the first set of search results may be determined. A first label associated with the first objective may be selected for a first training data instance. A second label associated with the second objective may be selected for a second training data instance. A first machine learning model may be generated using the first training data instance and the second training data instance. In some examples, the first machine learning model may be effective to rank the first set of search results based at least in part on the first objective and the second objective.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to providing a recommendation for subscribing to or unsubscribing from an electronic communication. In one example, actions of a user are obtained with respect to electronic communications of the user. One or more categories of the electronic communications are determined. A state of the user is determined based on the actions and the one or more categories. The state is either a discovery state indicating that the user expresses an interest to receive electronic communications associated with a specific category or a cleaning state indicating that the user lacks an interest in one or more received electronic communications. A subscribe recommendation for subscribing to electronic communications associated with the specific category is provided when the state is determined to be a discovery state.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed. The techniques include receiving, by a computing device, an answer to a query, the answer comprising a content element and a metadata element. Based on the content element and the metadata element, the techniques generate a presentable sentence of a plurality of presentable sentences. The techniques then utilize a machine learning model to determine a relevance score for the presentable sentence based on the query and the presentable sentence, the relevance score being of a set of relevance scores and corresponding to a measure of relevance with respect to the presentable sentence answering the query. The techniques then select a portion of the plurality of presentable sentences based on a ranking of the set of relevance scores and transmit the portion to a user device for presentation on a voice-based interface of the user device.

In accordance with one or more embodiments, structurally-similar electronic documents can be identified among a group of electronic documents (e.g., e-mail messages, documents containing HTML formatting, etc.). A hash function can be specifically tailored to identify the similarly structured documents. The structurally-similar electronic documents can be grouped into a same equivalence class. Masked anonymized document samples can be generated from the structurally-similar electronic documents utilizing the same equivalence class, thereby ensuring that the anonymized document samples when viewed as a part of an audit remain anonymous. An online process is provided to guarantee k-anonymity of the users over the entire lifetime of the auditing process. An auditor's productivity can be measured based on the amount of content revealed to the auditor within the samples he is assigned.
