Abstract: A method for authentication includes: a Gateway Mobile Station (G-MS) receives an authentication trigger message from a host, and sends the authentication trigger message to an authentication server through an Ethernet Convergence Sublayer (Eth-CS) to trigger authentication. A network system includes a G-MS, which is connected to a host and an authentication server in communicable mode. The G-MS is configured to: receive an authentication trigger message from the host and send the authentication trigger message to the authentication server through the Eth-CS. The authentication server is configured to: receive the authentication trigger message that the G-MS sends through the Eth-CS, and authenticate the host. A G-MS includes: a receiving unit, configured to receive an authentication trigger message from the host; and a sending unit, configured to send the authentication trigger message received by the receiving unit to the authentication server through the Eth-CS.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a terminal for sending and receiving a multicast broadcast service (MBS) are provided in the communication field. Based on a preset correspondence between MBS content IDs and LCIDs, a network side sends MBS data with an LCID corresponding to the MBS content ID in an air interface link identified by an MCID. A terminal generates a corresponding LCID from the MBS content ID of the MBS based on the same correspondence as that of the network side, and receives data via a logical channel identified by the LCID in the air interface link identified by the MCID of the required MBS. A method for assigning an MBS information ID is also provided. The uniqueness of the MBS content ID can be guaranteed within an operator, an access service network (ASN), or an MBS zone.

Abstract: A method and system for compressing and encrypting data. The method includes: receiving original data; performing a first compression of said original data to obtain a first compression result; and encrypting only a literal portion in the first compression result to obtain an encrypted first compression result. Embodiments of the present invention improve the efficiency of the process of compression +encryption to a great extent by means of encrypting only the literal portion of the compression result.

Abstract: A system and charging control method of network convergence policy and charging control architecture are disclosed, based on the QoS parameter, charging policy and user subscribing information granted by the service layer, the PCRF confirms PCC rule, and provides the PCC rule to the policy distribution function PDF. As the interface between the PCRF and PCC policy performing entity, the PDF performs the protocol conversion and information distribution. Based on the PCC rule, the PCC policy performing entity performs QoS policy of the service data flow and the detecting and charging of the service flow.

Abstract: A method and system for compressing and encrypting data. Abstract: A method for bearer control, bearer deletion, data distribution, and multicast broadcast service MBS modification are described, which enables MBS data to be received successfully and MBS sessions to be managed effectively. According to the invention involved in a communication field, service distribution information for one MBS service is maintained within MBS upstream and downstream nodes, and the MBS service distribution information is composed of a list of downstream nodes corresponding to the respective nodes. A corresponding service bearer and data distribution relation of the MBS are established and maintained based on the service distribution information, and service data of the MBS is distributed based on the service bearer and the data distribution relation.

Abstract: A method and system for multicast and broadcast system (MCBCS) synchronization and macro diversity is provided. In an embodiment, an MBS Proxy creates the necessary messages with synchronization rules embedded therein. The messages are provided to an MBS Distributed DPF and a base station, which performs a final PHY frame construction for transmission. In another embodiment, the MBS Proxy provides the necessary information to the base station and the base station creates the messages, including the synchronization rules. In yet another embodiment, the base station receives raw IP packet information and synchronization information. In this last embodiment, the base station creates the packets and frames based on the information provided to it.

Abstract: A method for processing dynamic service flows includes a SFM entity that sends a resource processing request to a H-PF server through an anchor SFA entity according to the received dynamic service flow processing request, with the request carrying the parameters related to the resource processing request. The H-PF server sends the result of the resource processing performed by each node in the network according to the resource requirements to the SFM through a resource processing response. The SFM returns a service flow processing response to the UE. After receiving the response, the UE saves the relevant parameters, and returns an acknowledgement to the SFM.

Abstract: A method and a system for setting up header compression communication and a header compression policy function entity are disclosed herein. The method includes: a header compression enforcement function entity receives a header compression indication from a header compression policy function entity; and the header compression enforcement function entity negotiates header compression channel parameters with the other corresponding header compression enforcement function entity to set up header compression channel. A communication system and a header compression policy function entity are disclosed. The embodiments of the present disclosure overcome the failure of implementing the header compression communication in the prior art.

Abstract: A method for a terminal to join a multicast broadcast service (MBS) in a wireless network and a wireless communication system are provided, so as to enable a terminal to successfully join an MBS and receive MBS content. The method and the system relate to a wireless communication field. A terminal obtains MBS parameters that include a first ID indicating an air interface connection and a second ID indicating MBS content from a network, so that the terminal can receive the MBS content indicated by the second ID from the air interface connection indicated by the first ID after receiving the MBS parameters and thus successfully join the MBS. The terminal may initiate an MBS join process by sending an MBS join request message, so as to obtain the MBS parameters and join the required MBS. The network may actively initiate the MBS join process to send the MBS parameters to the terminal and invite the terminal to join the MBS.

Abstract: A method and a system for implementing local switching are disclosed. The method includes: after receiving the uplink data sent by a sending MS, determining, according to information carried in the uplink data, information about location of a receiving Mobile Station (MS) that is to receive uplink data; and implementing, according to local switching rules that specify a local switching control mode, local switching for data transmitted between the sending MS and the receiving MS if determining, according to the information about location of the receiving MS and information about location of the sending MS, that the data transmitted between the sending MS and the receiving MS meets local switching conditions. In this way, network transmission resources are saved in the process of transmitting data, transmission delay is shortened, and data transmission efficiency is improved.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for shifting functional entity in WiMAX network is disclosed. A functional entity at the network side is set to be master functional entity or slave functional entity. The method includes: setting a binding relationship between a master functional entity and at least one slave functional entity; triggering the master functional entity to shift, combining a context of the slave functional entity bound with the master functional entity and a context of the master functional entity to form a context message that is required by the master functional entity for the shift, and forwarding the context message according to the course of shifting the master functional entity.

Abstract: A method, a server, and a system for configuring a paging group (PG) and a neighbor cell list of a femto access point (FAP) are provided. The method includes: receiving a configuration request from a security gateway or an FAP; acquiring location information of the FAP; determining an access service network gateway (ASN-GW) accessed by the FAP, and notifying the location information of the FAP to the ASN-GW, so that the ASN-GW allocates a PG to the FAP according to the location information of the FAP, and delivers an identifier (ID) of the allocated PG; and receiving the ID of the PG from the ASN-GW, and delivering the ID of the PG to the FAP. Therefore, the FAP can dynamically join into a PG and the neighbor cell list can be dynamically updated.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a system for initiating Packet Data Network (PDN) disconnection are provided, so as to achieve disconnection of one or more specific PDNs. The method includes that: a Foreign Agent (FA) or a Mobile Access Gateway (MAG) receives PDN disconnection information from an authenticator; and initiates Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP) deregistration to a PDN Gateway (PDN GW) corresponding to the PDN disconnection information. The device includes a receiving module and a transmitting module. The system includes an FA or an MAG, and an authenticator connected to the FA or the MAG in a communicable manner.

Abstract: A system and method for automatic user training in speech-to-speech translation includes integrating an automatic user response system configured to be responsive to a plurality of training items and selecting a training item from the plurality of training items. For the selected training item, in response to an utterance in a first language, the utterance is translated into a second language, and a response to the utterance in the second language is generated. A simulated action corresponding with the response in accordance with a user speaking the second language is also generated. The response and simulated action are output as a learning exercise for learning operations of the automatic user response system.

Abstract: In a method for accounting a multicast broadcast service (MBS), an Access Service Network (ASN) receives MBS service accounting information sent by an MBS accounting agent. The MBS service accounting information includes an MBS service identifier and MBS service granularity-based accounting information. A mobile station (MS) is determined using the MBS service according to the MBS service identifier. Subscriber service granularity-based accounting information of the MS is generated and the generated accounting information is sent to an accounting system.

Abstract: A multicast broadcast service (MBS) management method, device, and system are provided, so that a service/content provision server is enabled to manage an MBS operated by the service/content provision server itself. The method includes: a universal service interface (USI) receives a management operation request message from a service/content provision server; the management operation request message is sent to a multicast and broadcast service (MCBCS) server/controller to enable the MCBCS server/controller to perform corresponding operations according to the management operation request message. The device includes a first receiving module and a second receiving module. Another device includes a receiving module and a request processing module. The system includes an MCBCS server/controller and a USI connected to the MCBCS server/controller in a communication mode.

Abstract: A system and method for speech-to-speech translation using a translation system includes designating separate input channels for each of a plurality of speakers. In response to speech from a first channel in a first language, the speech from the first channel is translated to a second language, and in response to speech from the second channel in a second language, the speech from the second channel is translated to the first language. Translating the speech from the first channel and translating the speech from the second channel are performed concurrently.

Abstract: An apparatus and method that integrates both phrase-based and free-form speech-to-speech translation approaches using probability models. The starting step of the method is to receive vocal communication in a source language. Then store the received vocal communication. Then decipher the content of the vocal communication. Then locate in a multilingual dictionary module the corresponding translation of the deciphered vocal communication provided a preset sentence exists in a speech recognition module for the vocal communication. Then translate the vocal communication into the target language provided there is no corresponding translation located in the multilingual dictionary module. Then synthesize the translated target language when there is no corresponding translation for the vocal communication in the multilingual dictionary module. Then store the sound of the translated target language. Then play the sound of the translated target language.

Abstract: A method for a multi-host system to exit from the network includes receiving a G-MS exit network instruction. The context information relating to the host connected to the G-MS is obtained. A host exit network instruction is sent to the host network management entity according to the ID of the host network management entity. The host is triggered to exit from the network. The obtained host context information includes the ID of the host connected to the G-MS and the ID of the host network management entity. The exit network instruction carries the host ID.
