  • Publication number: 20110292675
Abstract: In an LED device, a light guide array is disposed between a planar LED array light source and a curved housing. A first surface of the light guide array is a plane evenly distanced from the LED array and a second surface of the light guide array is a curved surface evenly distanced from the curved housing. A plurality of guiding channels, either one-to-one or one-to-many to the LED, are aligning along each light axis of the LED in the light guide array, whose reflective surface allows the lights emitted by each LED to reflect thereon and emit from the second surface and simulate a curved light source having substantially the same shape as the curved housing.

  • Patent number: 7703925
Abstract: A miniature projector module includes: a light source unit capable of emitting source light with first and second polarizations; a polarization beam splitter capable of reflecting the source light with the first polarization, and permitting transmission of the source light with the second polarization therethrough; a first image modulator capable of converting the source light with the first polarization reflected by the beam splitter into image light with the second polarization, and directing the image light with the second polarization toward the beam splitter for further transmission therethrough; a second image modulator capable of converting the source light with the second polarization transmitted through the beam splitter into image light with the first polarization, and directing the image light with the first polarization toward the beam splitter for further reflection thereby; and a projector lens for receiving and projecting the image light from the beam splitter.

  • Patent number: 7385285
Abstract: A light assembly includes a fin-type heatsink and a light module. The fin-type heatsink has a contact surface. The light module includes a thermally conductive cup-shaped chip seat and a light-emitting chip. The thermally conductive cup-shaped chip seat is attached to the contact surface of the fin-type heatsink, and defines a mounting recess. The light-emitting chip is mounted in the mounting recess in the thermally conductive cup-shaped chip seat. A method for making the light assembly is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080037260
Abstract: The invention provides an illuminant device for a projecting system. The illuminant device includes an illuminant unit, a diffusing element, and a concave mirror. The illuminant unit has a plurality of illuminants which are closely disposed. The diffusing element has an incident surface opposite to the illuminant unit and an emergent surface for a diffused light radiating therefrom. The concave mirror has a reflective surface used for condensing at least a part of the light radiated by the illuminant unit on the incident surface of the diffusing element.
