    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed involving media access. For instance, a transmitting device may have data to transmit to destination devices. The transmitting device selects one or more of the destination devices and initiates an exchange with each of one or more of the selected device(s). Based on an outcome of such exchange(s), the transmitting device may choose between sending a data transmission and initiating a backoff interval. The data transmission may have data for one or more of the destination devices.
