Patent number: 12191953Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine to use one or more channel state information (CSI) omission configurations for omitting portions of a CSI report. For example, a UE may receive a trigger to report CSI, and the UE may identify that a payload of the CSI report exceeds a capacity of resources for transmitting the report. As such, the UE may determine to use one or more CSI omission configurations, where each CSI omission configuration may correspond to dropping different portions of the CSI report. The selection of the CSI omission configuration to use may be based on a set of parameters associated with CSI reporting. In some cases, the UE selects the CSI omission configuration based on an explicit indication from the base station. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may implicitly determine the CSI omission configuration based on the parameters.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2019Date of Patent: January 7, 2025Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Liangming Wu, Chenxi Hao, Yu Zhang, Qiaoyu Li, Wanshi Chen, Hao Xu

Publication number: 20250007586Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support reducing a time domain selectivity of a downlink channel with multiple signal paths. A base station may spatially precode multiple channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) and transmit the spatially precoded CSI-RSs to a user equipment (UE), where at least one spatially precoded CSI-RS may correspond to each signal path. Based on the spatially precoded CSI-RSs, the UE may determine a mean or average Doppler shift for each signal path. The UE may transmit, to the base station, signaling indicative of the respective average Doppler shifts for each signal path. Based on the indication of the Doppler shifts, the base station may spatially and temporally precode one or more downlink transmissions to the UE, which may reduce the time domain selectivity of the downlink channel.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2022Publication date: January 2, 2025Inventors: Wei Xi, Liangming Wu, Yu Zhang, Chenxi Hao, Min Huang, Jing Dai, Chao Wei, Rui Hu, Hao Xu

Patent number: 12184362Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In one aspect, the described techniques provide for identifying interference signals on multiple layers or resources and determining whether the interference signals transmitted on a particular layer or resource were precoded using linear precoding (LP) or NLP.
