    Abstract: An adaptive frame prediction method includes: using at least one block partition method to partition an MB that needs to perform intra-frame prediction; using at least one prediction mode to predict each sub-block in each block partition result and obtaining a sub-block residual of a current sub-block; selecting multiple transformation methods according to the sub-block type to transform each sub-block residual and obtain the code-rate distortion ratio of the current sub-block; performing frame prediction for the MB according to the block partition method, the prediction mode, and the transformation method corresponding to the code-rate distortion ratio of a minimum value among all code-rate distortion ratios. An adaptive prediction apparatus disclosed herein includes: a block partition module, a predicting module, a transforming module, a selecting module, and a frame predicting module.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus of multi-view coding and decoding are provided. In the process of encoding multi-view video images, a frame number and view identifier information of the image that uses auxiliary reference information are written into a code stream, and sent to the decoder. The decoder obtains the frame number and the view identifier information of the image that uses the auxiliary reference information, and determines the auxiliary reference information applied to a specified image according to the frame number and the view identifier information. Errors of the image may be concealed according to the auxiliary reference information.

    Abstract: Methods and devices of intra prediction encoding and decoding are described, so that the encoding performance of intra coding is better. A prediction encoding is performed on the same frame by using at least two intra prediction encoding modes, and information indicating the intra prediction encoding mode of each block is written into the encoded result, so as to encode different blocks by using the most appropriate modes. By using at least two intra prediction encoding modes, relevant indication information is written into the encoded result, so as to correctly perform the decoding. During decoding, the information of intra prediction encoding mode of each block of the same frame is firstly read, and then the block is decoded by using this mode. Each block is organized in a form of hierarchical tree, so as to obtain the optimal performance, and reduce the amount of the information indicating the intra prediction encoding mode of each block in the encoded result.

    Abstract: The invention relates to video image compression technologies, and discloses a method and system for upsampling a spatial scalable coded video image so that during upsampling computation complexity may be reduced while coding performance is substantially unchanged. In the invention, the principle that human eyes are far less sensitive to a chrominance components than to a luminance components is utilized, and a simpler filter is adopted for the chrominance components than that for the luminance components during upsampling in I_BLINTRA_Base inter-layer prediction or residual samples image inter-layer prediction, thereby reducing effectively calculation complexity while coding performance is substantially unchanged.
