  • Publication number: 20250201148
Abstract: A method for constructing a clinically-relevant large animal model of traumatic optic neuropathy, employing a goat with orbital anatomy and optic nerve structure similar to humans as a model animal, overing the defects existing in other animals as TON model animals. The target model goat is obtained by screening parameters, such as a maximum transverse diameter of a coronal plane of a body of sphenoid bone and a wall width of a sphenoid bone, thereby facilitating the exposure of an optic nerve in a optic-canal segment under a nasal endoscopic surgery and quantitative injury. With the optic nerve injury animal model, the clinical TON pathogenesis can be explored by studying the optic nerve at the injured optic canal. In the prepared TON animal model, the injured optic nerve is closer to the brain, which is beneficial to rebuilding the synaptic connection.

  • Patent number: 9174516
Abstract: A sun visor system includes multiple visors to provide selective window coverage for glare. This system can be employed on the driver side, passenger side, or both. The second visor (50), having pivotal device (56) on support rod (54), can be easily connected to the first visor (20) support rod (24) to provide pivotal movements between the windshield and side window. These visors, first and second, can be moved together or separately to stored positions, windshield and side window blocked positions, or combinations of both positions to provide window protection from glare quickly and easily for windshield, side window, or both. Also support rod of the visor can be made of flexible material, like gooseneck arm, to further provide flexible adjustments of visor to desired positions to block glare from different angles or positions of vehicle window. This adjustable visor system can be applied to a single sun visor system or multiple visors system.

  • Publication number: 20110115904
Abstract: The invention discloses an object-detecting system including a periphery member, a first reflection device, a first image-capturing unit, and a data processing module. The periphery member thereon defines an indication space and an indication plane in the indication space for an object to indicate a target position. There is a contrast relation between the periphery member and the object. The first reflection device is disposed on the periphery member. The first image-capturing unit captures a first image of the indication space near a part of the periphery member and also captures a first reflected image reflected by the first reflection device of the indication space near a part of the periphery. The data processing module is electrically connected to the first image-capturing unit and processes the first image and the first reflected image so as to determine object information relative to the object in the indication space.
