Abstract: The capsule filling machine is provided with special volumetric dosing stations each having two or more adjacent dosing units (9, 9?, 22), fixed at equal distances from each other on the periphery of the carousel and located outside and at a distance from the product feed hopper (2), in such a way that they can be rapidly and easily replaced when there is a change in the formal of the capsules to be filled, in the same way as all the other components of the machine, which is also designed for easy and rapid preparation for the washing and sterilization cycle.

Abstract: A product hopper (1) is designed so that it can be sealed with respect to the means (13) for the cyclical feed of the product and with respect to the external environment, and is designed so that it can be pressurized with compressed gas, in such a way that the said product is fluidized by the compressed gas and is pushed by the latter in a continuous and uniform way towards the dosing stations (D), which are connected to the periphery of the said hopper and are designed to promote the flow of the product towards them. A description is also given of the means which enable the hopper to operate continuously even when batches of product are introduced into it in a cyclic way.

Abstract: An ejection and conveying device mounted in a rotary pressing tabletting machine having matrices supported by a rotating table, whereinto upper punches and lower punches enter and come out, while tablets come out at an ejection station; the device includes a plate fastened to the machine and positioned under the table. Part of the plate is located under the machine's ejection station, while a rotating disk is placed inside a raised border of the plate and has a plurality of hollows whereinto the ejected tablets fall so that the tablets are drawn by the disk up to be positioned above one or more holes made in the bottom of the plate and from which holes discharge channels depart. The tablets pass through the holes and are brought away by the channels.

Abstract: A tablet making machine consisting of a turret, which rotates relative to its axis, containing a coaxial cylindrical chamber closed at the inside end and supplied with material in a powder or granular form, an annular plate locked to the turret in which there are cavities whose axes are parallel to the turret axis, equidistant from the turret axis and angularly equidistant, opposing heads of a pair of corresponding punches occupying each cavity; the punches being axially guided by housings made in the turret and movable upwardly and downwardly to determine the mutual distance between the working heads, the cavities being infed with material through corresponding infeed channels, connecting the cavities with the chamber, in an equal number of radial directions with respect to the axis of the turret.

Abstract: The apparatus comprises a support base for a hopper designed to receive articles, a drum supported in a rotatable manner about a horizontal axis by the base, the interior of this drum communicating with the hopper, and an elevator having conveyor elements or pockets disposed tangentially to the rotary drum and provided at its top with a chute for discharge into the feed hopper of a device for handling these articles. The shell of this drum is provided with perforations in the manner of a sieve with countersink holes having their smallest diameter towards the exterior of the hollow drum slightly greater than the maximum diameter of the integral articles. Chute collection means for the articles selected via the countersink holes with a discharge in the vicinity of the conveyor elements or pockets of the tangential elevator are provided peripherally below the drum. The drum and the elevator are actuated with a continuous movement in the same direction.

Abstract: The invention relates to a capsule orienting device particularly for capsule-filling machines. The capsule orienting device comprises a bush delimiting inside thereof a calibrated path for the capsules to be loaded with product. The path communicates with a longitudinal slit in the bush. The bush also has an upper and a lower cross slot intersecting the path and the slit, and is designed to slidably and sequentially engage, in use, with a first abutting member and a second abutting member so as to cause a capsule in the path to rotate upwards or downwards depending on the arrangement of the capsule in the path, thereby orienting the capsule.

Abstract: A continuous movement capsule processing machine comprising, sequentially, a station for feeding empty capsules to be filled with a powder or granulated loose product, a capsule orienting station, a capsule opening station, a station for metering and loading the loose product into said capsules, and a station for closing and ejecting the loaded capsules. All stations are carried by a single turret set to revolve about a central drive axle and are recurrently arranged in each of a series of sectors of the turret located about the axle.
