    Abstract: A database and a data accessing method thereof are provided. The database includes a memory, a CPU, a data storage element and a data cache element. The memory is configured to store a kernel program. The CPU is coupled to the memory and configured to execute the kernel program. The data storage element and the data cache element are coupled to the CPU. When receiving a data read command or a data write command from an application, the kernel program determines whether the data storage element is set for accelerated data accessing. If yes, the kernel program guides the data read command to read a copy file from the data cache element or writes a file of the data write command into the data storage element and the data cache element. The copy file is corresponding to a target file in the data storage element.

Firstly, a connection status is provided to the handheld electronic device from the storage device, so that the connection status is shown on the handheld electronic device. The connection status indicates that a first storage unit is connected with the storage device. Then, a specified file of the first storage unit is selected according to the connection status shown on the handheld electronic device. Then, a read command is issued from the storage device to the first storage unit, and the specified file of the first storage unit is read in response to the read command. Afterwards, the specified file is stored into the storage device, and a storing result is provided to the handheld electronic device.
