  • Patent number: 10176735
Abstract: A packaged medication assembly includes a packaged medication, a bag, and an information insert. The packaged medication includes a container and medication enclosed within the container. The bag defines a first panel, a storage chamber, and an opening to the storage chamber. The information insert includes patient information, which provides identification of a patient that the medication was packaged for, and medication information providing at least one of an identity of and a description of the medication. The information insert includes a patient identifying section including the patient information adjacent the first edge. The information insert is placed in the storage chamber such that substantially only the patient identifying section extends and remains exposed above the first panel such that a remainder of the information insert is covered by the first panel of the bag. The packaged medication is positioned within the storage chamber.

  • Patent number: 7135289
Abstract: Methods, compositions, and kits for separating heteroduplex and homoduplex DNA molecules in a test mixture by temperature-compression denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (tcDHPLC). The method includes use of nitrogen-containing additives in the mobile phase that allow detection of diverse heteroduplex molecules to be performed at the same pre-selected temperature. An example of a preferred additive is betaine. Standard mixtures of DNA fragments, such as mutation standards containing known heteroduplex and homoduplex molecules, can be used to select the concentration of additive and temperature. Compositions and kits including the mobile phase, mutation standards, PCR primers, separation media, and DNA polymerase are also provided.

  • Patent number: 5182744
Abstract: A restoration system is provided for enhancing the reliability of a telecommunications network such that particular traffic which is disrupted by, for example, a faulty link, may be quickly rerouted via an alternate route established "on the fly". In particular, each node and link forming the network is monitored, and in the event that such monitoring detects a faulty link or node then a central controller is notified. The controller is arranged to locate spare capacity and establish an alternate route, in which the continuity of the alternate route is confirmed before the disrupted traffic is transferred thereto.

  • Patent number: 5065054
Abstract: An input buffer provides buffering of digital input signals and noise filtering. The input buffer includes a Schmitt trigger having a fast response to digital signal rising edges and a slow response to digital signal falling edges. A first transfer gate having a relatively slow response conveys rising edge transitions to the Schmitt trigger and a second transfer gate having a relatively fast response conveys falling edge transitions to the Schmitt trigger.

  • Patent number: 5058105
Abstract: A facility is provided for enhancing the reliability of a communications network so that traffic whose flow is disrupted by, for example, a faulty link, may be quickly restored to service. In particular, such traffic is restored to service by establishing a number of orders of connectivity each formed from spare link capacity, in which each succeeding order of connectivity represents the shortest loop around a preceding order of connectivity.
