  • Publication number: 20030000345
Abstract: Simple skinning pliers including: a clamping mechanism having a first clamping member formed with a first clamping section and a second clamping member formed with a second clamping section and pivotally connected with the first clamping member, whereby the first and second clamping members can be operated to move the first and second clamping sections toward each other; and a cutting member having a predetermined length and axially reciprocally movably disposed on the first clamping section. A first adjustment section is disposed at outer end of the cutting member and positioned on outer side of the first clamping member. A blade is disposed at inner end of the cutting member and extends between the first and second clamping sections. A wire or a cable is clamped between the first and second clamping sections. By means of the first adjustment section, the depth of the blade thrusting into the insulating layer of the wire or cable can be varied.

  • Publication number: 20020034413
Abstract: Connecting member including a column-shaped driven section, a cylindrical connecting section for connecting with a screwing tap, a bit or a socket and a column-shaped body section connected between the driven section and the connecting section. The body section or the connecting section is formed with a weakened section as a stress concentration area when the connecting member is subject to a torque. The weakened section has a cross-sectional area smaller' than that of other parts of the connecting member. The connecting member is co-used with a screwing tap or a bit. In case of over-screwing, the weakened section is first broken so that the relatively expensive screwing tap or other tools or the parts driven by the tools are prevented from breaking or deforming.

  • Patent number: 6341926
Abstract: A cutting tool includes a working portion adapted to cut a threaded hole or a hole in a predetermined workpiece, a first clamp portion provided at an end opposite to the working portion and adapted to be clamped by a clamping device to facilitate local application of force, and a weak portion disposed between the working portion and the first clamp portion and adapted to bear a torsional force smaller than that borne by other portions. The weak portion, during use of the cutting tool in a cutting operation, is always located on the surface of the workpiece and will break when the cutting tool cannot stand an excessive torsion. The broken portion will likewise always be located on the surface of the workpiece, whereby the user can easily clamp the portion exposed on the outside of the workpiece.
