    Abstract: The isolation, cloning of an enhancin gene bel1 from Bacillus thuringiensis, and the use of an enhancin Bel1 in biological insecticides are disclosed in the present invention. A new enhancin gene bel1 is isolated from Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki YBT-1520, and its encoded product is a new enhancin Bel1. The enhancin has very strong effect-enhancing activity on the insecticidal action of insecticidal crystal protein Cry1Ac in killing Lepidoptera insects. The insecticidal activity of genetically engineered Bacillus thuringiensis BMB0187 developed on the basis of this enhancin is 5.7 times as high as that of the initial strain.

    Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of genetic engineering of agricultural microorganisms. Specifically, the invention relates to producing and using gene cluster for thuringiensin synthesis from Bacillus thuringiensis. The gene cluster includes 11 genes of thuA, thuB, thuC, thuD, thuE, thuF, thuG, thu1, thu2, thu3 and thu4. These genes have the nucleotide sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1. And the thuringiensin biosynthetase encoded by these genes have the amino acid sequences as shown in SEQ ID NO: 2-12. The genes according to the invention and the proteins encoded by those genes can be used as new nucleosides lead compound of pesticide library and provide new target for developing insecticides. In practical use, a series of new, efficient and low toxic insecticide can be obtained by structure modification.

The present invention isolates a novel insecticidal crystal protein gene cry7Ba1 from B. thuringiensis subsp. huazhongensis YBT-978 strain, and said gene encodes a novel insecticidal crystal protein Cry7Ba1, which shows insecticidal activity against Lepidopteran insects. The present invention also discloses the gene sequence of the novel insecticidal crystal protein, uses suitable expression vectors to transform micro-organisms so as to express the product Cry7Ba1 encoded by the gene and make it exert the insecticidal activity of the protein against Lepidopteran pests.
