  • Publication number: 20240150642
Abstract: Nano- and micro-particles (NMP) can be formed from an oil/water emulsion. The emulsion is made by mixing a liquid solvent, at least one surfactant, a particle-forming compound, and at least curing agent. If desired, pH control agents and viscosity enhancers can be added to the liquid solvent. The particle-forming compound and the curing agents are mixed together and form the oil phase in the emulsion and after curing, the particles are formed. The nano- and micro-particles can be used as proppant to enhance the conductivity of nano- and microfractures and fluid-loss-control additive for hydraulic fracturing operations.

  • Patent number: 11955770
Abstract: A driver circuit may include a source, a first circuit path, and a second circuit path. The a first circuit path may be connected to the source and include a first anode pad, a first set of connecting elements to connect the first anode pad to an anode of an optical load, a second anode pad that is separate from the first anode pad, a second set of connecting elements to connect the anode of the optical load to the second anode pad, and a switch. The switch being in a closed state causes current to charge the first set of connecting elements and the second set of connecting elements through the first circuit path. The switch transitioning from the closed state to the open state causes the first set of connecting elements to discharge current through the second circuit path to provide an electrical pulse to the optical load.

  • Publication number: 20240085300
Abstract: A method to determine the velocity of static proppant settling in fracturing fluids. The proppant carrying capability of different friction reducer products can be compared, so the appropriate friction reducer product can be selected for hydraulic fracturing operations. The effect of friction reducer concentrations in the fracturing fluids, the salinity and hardness of the fracturing fluids, and the proppant size on the velocity of static proppant settling can be studied to optimize the chemical structures of the friction reducers in the process of synthesis and optimize the hydraulic fracturing operation, e.g. to determine the proper concentration of friction reducers according to the salinity and proppant size.

  • Publication number: 20230413247
Abstract: A method for communication processing is provided. The method is applicable to a terminal device, where the terminal device is provided with a first subscriber identity module (SIM) card and a second SIM card. The first SIM card and the second SIM card multiplex a hardware resource of the terminal device in a time-division manner. The method includes: obtaining a reception occasion for execution of a non-connected-state service via the second SIM card, when the first SIM card is in a connected state and the second SIM card is in a non-connected state; and determining a connected-state-service gap according to the reception occasion. The terminal device is allowable to execute a connected-state service via the first SIM card in the connected-state-service gap.

  • Patent number: 8846899
Abstract: Disclosed are saccharide and phosphocholine derivatives. The derivatives include azide and alkyne derivatives which form one end of a variable length carbon chain. The opposite end of the variable length carbon chain is covalently linked to the saccharide or phosphocholine. The saccharide may be, for instance, a maltoside. The alkyne and azide derivatives of the saccharides and phosphocholine may be reacted together to form amphiphilic molecules useful in cellular membrane studies and applications. By adjusting the length of the carbon chain, the biochemical and biophysical properties of the resultant 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazole compounds may be custom tailored for the intended application. Resultant molecules may form micelles, bicelle, lipid bilayers and other like structures useful in the isolation and purification of membrane bound or membrane associated proteins and biochemical components.
