In addition, embodiments are shown in which facial appearance features are formed of a water dissolvable material to alter the facial appearance of the doll. In its intended use, the doll is immersed in a vessel of water causing the dissolvable fabric layers and dissolvable facial appearance elements to be completely removed from the doll exposing the underlying waterproof elements.
