    Abstract: The present application discloses method for generating a panorama image based on a rendering engine associated with a display apparatus. The method includes determining a display model configured to be a polygon prism for a rendering engine corresponding to a panorama view of a scene. Additionally, the method includes using multiple sampling cameras associated with the rendering engine to capture multiple sample sub-images of the panorama view in respective directions towards multiple sub-planes of the polygon prism. The method further includes attaching the multiple sample sub-images to respective multiple sub-planes to form a constructed display model. Furthermore, the method includes rendering the constructed display model by the rendering engine to reconstruct a panorama image and displaying the panorama image on the display apparatus.

Each unit region is associated with a luminance produced by one or more light-emitting diodes. The method further includes determining a sensitive area having a second plurality of unit regions in part of the light-emitting substrate in association with eyeball position of viewer relative to the light-emitting substrate and a non-sensitive area having a plurality of combined-regions in remaining part of the light-emitting substrate. Additionally, the method includes transferring local variables including information about the sensitive area and the combining factor k to a processor. Furthermore, the method includes operating the processor based on the local variables to individually control a first luminance of the one unit region in the sensitive area and to commonly control a second luminance of one combined-region in the non-sensitive area.

The N*M registers of the backlight source driving circuitry correspond to the N*M regions respectively. The backlight source driving circuitry is configured to receive backlight data about the N*M regions from the MCU, and write the backlight data about each region into a corresponding register, so as to control luminance of the corresponding region in accordance with the backlight data.
