Abstract: The present disclosure provides a continental shelf profile determining method and apparatus based on non-delta transgression. The method includes: constructing a continental shelf profile two-dimensional model based on a river supply sediment volume and a sea level rise rate in a target work area; solving the two-dimensional model in a spatial rectangular coordinate system to generate a relational expression which is capable of representing a non-delta transgression slope and a river length; and determining a continental shelf profile of the target work area based on the relational expression. In the context of non-delta transgression, the continental shelf profile determining method and apparatus based on non-delta transgression provided by the present disclosure comprehensively consider the influences of a river sediment supply and a sea level rise on the continental shelf profile, to more accurately determine the change of the continental shelf profile of the target work area in the historical period.

  • Publication number: 20060083513
Abstract: A Passive Optical Network (PON) is provided with trunk protection by employing Wavelength Division Multiplexer (WDM) elements in combination with optical couplers at distribution nodes (DN) intermediate a pair of Local Exchange Office Nodes and a customer node. The Local Exchange Office Nodes (LEON) transmitting and receiving signals on an optical fiber loop pair through a WDM with one LEON active and one backup until a failure or cable cut occurs. Each DN drops one wavelength from the downstream loop with an AD/DRWDM and employs an Optical-Electrical-Optical (OEO) repeater to amplify the downstream signal and an OEO to amplify the upstream signal before insertion onto the upstream loop by the AD/DRWDM. The DN incorporates a second WDM for multiplexing the signals from and into the OEOs and connecting through an optical coupler to multiple user nodes.
