    Abstract: A drum washing machine, and a control method and a control apparatus for same are provided. The control method for the drum washing machine comprises the following steps: acquiring an average starting power of a drum in a starting process of the drum; acquiring a load range to which a current load of the drum belongs according to the average starting power; and setting a weighing protection velocity fluctuation threshold according to the load range to which the current load of the drum belongs. A value of the current load is obtained by using a correspondence between load with different weights and average starting powers. A weighing protection velocity fluctuation threshold is set according to the value of the current load to avoid the collision with the drum and non-dehydration in case of only one piece of clothing.

    Abstract: A very small aperture terminal (VSAT) installation tool is provided having the ability to measure cable loss along an interfacility link (IFL) between an outdoor unit and an indoor unit of the VSAT. Radio frequency (RF) signals can be transmitted from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit, where the RF signals are intercepted along the IFL prior to reaching the outdoor unit, and the output power is determined. The determined output power is compared to an expected output power at the indoor unit. The delta between the determined output power and the expected output power can be used to adjust the power of the indoor unit such that the outdoor unit can operate without reaching its compression point. The determined output power can be extrapolated based upon measured of the output power performed over a range of frequencies at which the indoor unit operates.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for performing preprocessing of received data packets, to reduce processing burdens and improve efficiency of communications terminal receivers, are provided. A first stage filter receives a data frame comprising data packets representing respective encapsulated fragments of a PDU. The first stage filter parses a header of one of the packets to locate a start field, and determines whether the start field indicates that the packet comprises a start fragment of the PDU. When the start field indicates that the packet comprises the start fragment, the first stage filter determines, based on packet label information of the packet header, whether to forward the packet to a second stage filter or to discard the packet, and forwards or discards the packet accordingly. When the start field indicates that the packet does not comprise the start fragment, the first stage filter forwards the packet to the second stage filter.
