    Abstract: The disclosure provides a feature compression algorithm based on neural network, including the following steps: S1, image data preparation: collecting facial images, and uniformly performing map processing to the facial images collected; S2, feature data acquisition: delivering the facial images processed into a face recognition system for face detection and feature extraction, and saving facial feature data; S3, setting up a neural network model; S4, model iteration training; S5, storing a parameter model; and S6, feature compression. The feature compression algorithm based on neural network of the disclosure can not only achieve compression of original feature data, but also retain its original semantic feature, which belongs to a higher-dimensional feature abstraction. The compressed feature data can be directly used.

    Abstract: A system for quantitative differential phase contrast microscopy with isotropic transfer function utilizes a modulation mechanism to create a detection light field having a radial or other axial orientation of optical intensity gradient or other distribution. A condenser generates an off-axis light field to project onto an object under examination, thereby generating an object light field, which is then guided to an image capturing device through an objective lens for capturing images. A differential phase contrast algorithm is applied to the images for obtaining a phase, thereby a depth information corresponding to the phase can be obtained to reconstruct the surface profile of the object.

    Abstract: A high-precision control system and method for shipborne cryogenic flash freezing of an aquatic product using liquid nitrogen is described. The system may include a main control system, a display unit, a liquid nitrogen supply system, a valve control unit, an acquisition unit, and a power unit. A flash freezing process is divided into four stages: a precooling stage, a flash freezing stage, a deep freezing stage, and a thermal insulation stage. Different cooling rates and flash freezing times are used for different stages, where a cooling rate is used in the flash freezing stage is the highest, a cooling rate used in the deep freezing stage is next, a cooling rate used in the precooling stage is the lowest, and an ambient temperature in a device is kept stable in the thermal insulation stage.

In one technique, a model is trained based on training data that comprises training instances, each of which corresponds to multiple usage-based features of an online service by a user. For each usage-based feature in a subset of the usage-based features, the model is used to generate a dependency graph, a histogram is generated, and an optimized value is selected based on the dependency graph and the histogram. A user of the online service is identified, along with a usage value that indicates a level of usage, by the user, of a usage-based feature. A comparison between the usage value and an optimized value of the usage-based feature is performed. Based on the comparison, it is determined whether to present data about that usage-based feature to the user.

    Abstract: An integrated circuit die includes a FinFET transistor. The FinFET transistor includes an anti-punch through region below a channel region. Undesirable dopants are removed from the anti-punch through region during formation of the source and drain regions. When source and drain recesses are formed, a layer of dielectric material is deposited in the recesses. An annealing process is then performed. Undesirable dopants diffuse from the anti-punch through region into the layer of dielectric material during the annealing process. The layer of dielectric material is then removed. The source and drain regions are then formed by depositing semiconductor material in the recesses.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, described herein is a system and method for filtering obstacles to reduce the number of obstacles for an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) to process in a given planning phase. The ADV can identify a first set of obstacles based on a set of criteria in a first lane where the ADV is travelling, filter out the remaining obstacles in the first lane, and expand each identified obstacle to a width of the first lane from the view of the ADV so that the ADV cannot nudge any of the first set of identified obstacles. When switching from the first lane to a second lane, the ADV can identify a second set of obstacles in the second lane using the same set of criteria, and expand each obstacle in the second set of obstacles to a width of the second lane while keep tracking the first set of identified obstacles. When the lane switching is completed, the ADV can stop tracking the first set of identified obstacles.
