    Abstract: A transmission mechanism includes a feeder, a belt furling module, a tension maintaining module, and a carrier belt. The tension maintaining module and the belt furling module are positioned on the feeder, and the carrier belt runs along the feeder, the tension maintaining module, and the belt furling module in that order. The tension maintaining module includes a base, a pivot shaft slidably positioned on the base, and an elastic member sleeved on the pivot shaft. When the carrier belt relaxes, the elastic member releases its compression force to drive the pivot shaft to move away relative to the base, thereby maintaining the tension force of the carrier belt. The disclosure also provides a surface mount device using the transmission mechanism, which reduces the likelihood of the carrier belt breaking or jamming, thereby promoting improved precision and yield rate of the surface mounted equipment.

Each transparent pixel electrode partially overlaps the corresponding transparent bottom electrodes so as to form plural storage capacitor structures. The top substrate is substantially parallel to the bottom substrate. The liquid crystal layer is located between the top substrate and the bottom substrate.

    Abstract: A semiconductor device having light-emitting diodes (LEDs) formed on a concave textured substrate is provided. A substrate is patterned and etched to form recesses. A separation layer is formed along the bottom of the recesses. An LED structure is formed along the sidewalls and, optionally, along the surface of the substrate between adjacent recesses. In these embodiments, the surface area of the LED structure is increased as compared to a planar surface. In another embodiment, the LED structure is formed within the recesses such that the bottom contact layer is non-conformal to the topology of the recesses. In these embodiments, the recesses in a silicon substrate result in a cubic structure in the bottom contact layer, such as an n-GaN layer, which has a non-polar characteristic and exhibits higher external quantum efficiency.

    Abstract: A magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) etching process uses a sacrifice layer. An MTJ cell structure includes an MTJ stack with a first magnetic layer, a second magnetic layer, and a tunnel barrier layer in between the first magnetic layer and the second magnetic layer, and a sacrifice layer adjacent to the second magnetic layer, where the sacrifice layer protects the second magnetic layer in the MTJ stack from oxidation during an ashing process. The sacrifice layer does not increase a resistance of the MTJ stack. The sacrifice layer can be made of Mg, Cr, V, Mn, Ti, Zr, Zn, or any alloy combination thereof, or any other suitable material. The sacrifice layer can be multi-layered and/or have a thickness ranging from 5 ? to 400 ?. The MTJ cell structure can have a top conducting layer over the sacrifice layer.

As a result, when one or more first sampled signals are saturated due to instantaneous noise, the second sampled signal is not saturated, thereby increasing the noise tolerance of the multi-stage S/H circuit.
