Abstract: A method and means for automatically coding and inputting Chinese characters in digital computers, which method includes the steps of: preparing a writing board and an electro conductive pen as an input device for being electrically connected with a digital computer for handwriting Chinese characters; establishing a counting and coding process for the digital computer for automatically counting and coding any characters handwritten on the writing board with the electro conductive pen; and providing a regional control arrangement in conjunction with the writing board and associated with the counting coding process so as to enable the digital computer to automatically count every stroke and direction of movement of the electro conductive pen; so that any handwritten characters on the writing board can be automatically sorted, counted, coded and processed by the digital computer.
