    Abstract: Hybrid steel-concrete prefabricated modules include a steel frame and concrete wall panels. The steel frame includes steel support columns connected at a first end to steel longitudinal ceiling beams and connected at a second end to steel longitudinal floor beams. Plural lightweight concrete wall panels are positioned between the steel longitudinal ceiling beams and the steel longitudinal floor beams. Each concrete wall panel includes a lightweight concrete panel reinforced with plural steel reinforcing bars, the steel reinforcing bars connected at one end to a first steel angle at a top end of the lightweight concrete panel. A second steel angle is positioned at a bottom end of the lightweight concrete panel. A first connection is made between the first steel angle and a longitudinal ceiling beam and a second connection is made between the second steel angle and a longitudinal floor beam.

    Abstract: Use of a recombinant transforming growth factor beta induced (TGFBI) protein in lattice corneal dystrophy (LCD) is provided, belonging to the technical field of biomedicine. Use of a recombinant TGFBI protein and a recombinant TGFBI protein-expressing reagent in preparation of a medicament for treating LCD are provided. It is confirmed that dropping eye drops of the recombinant TGFBI protein can promote the repair of corneal epithelial damages in an LCD mouse model; corneal intrastromal injection of the recombinant TGFBI protein can promote the repair of corneal epithelial damages in the LCD mouse model; and limbal intrastromal injection of an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector carrying a Tgfbi gene can promote the repair of epithelial damages in a TGFBI point mutation-carrying mouse. Therefore, the recombinant TGFBI protein-related reagents exhibit a potential to treat the LCD.

    Abstract: A method of formulating a ternary salt-water solution having a target phase change temperature—the ternary salt-water solution having a first salt, a second salt and water—includes: identifying at three or more temperatures, a maximum total concentration of the first and second salts in a saturated solution thereof, and the respective concentration of each salt therein, correlating the respective concentration of each salt therein with temperature, predicting a concentration for each of the salts at the target phase change temperature using the correlations, and formulating a ternary salt-water solution with a concentration of the first and second salts based on the predicted concentrations at the target phase change temperature. The method is suitable for phase change material screening, and in particular identifying and optimising phase change materials which can be used as cold storage materials.
