Patent number: 11039556Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable cooling a data center with a cooling system having a relatively high coolant temperature. This cooling system is controlled by a building management system and includes piping through which coolant flows, an air cooling unit in thermal contact with the coolant, and a chiller to cool the coolant to a temperature between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius as instructed by the building management system. The building management system uses a chiller controller to vary the chilling of coolant within a range of 18-22 degrees Celsius, thereby controlling the air temperature within the data center to within a required temperature range. Because the building management system maintains the coolant temperature to 18-22 degrees Celsius, the cooling system can be simplified by excluding typical cooling system components such as variable flow control valves and their controllers. This simplification decreases the need for maintenance and reduces operating cost.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2019Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Wally Karrat, Lin Heng Lee, Daniel Pare

Patent number: 10716227Abstract: A bending apparatus and a display device are provided. The bending apparatus includes a first supporting portion, a second supporting portion and a bending portion. Each of the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion is formed by a retractable plate-shaped structure. The bending portion rotatably connected to the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion. The first supporting portion and the second supporting portion are retractable such that the bending portion can be moved relative to the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion. In this case, a bendable position of the bending apparatus can be changed, such that the bending apparatus is bendable at multiple positions.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2018Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: SHANGHAI TIANMA AM-OLED CO., LTD.Inventor: Lin Heng

Patent number: 7071590Abstract: A coaxial dynamical system includes a motor having a transmission shaft, a dynamical transmission member rotatably connecting to the transmission shaft, and a magnetic driving mechanism connected between the transmission shaft and the dynamical transmission member. The magnetic driving mechanism includes a sleeve assembly, a sleeve fixing member, a magnetic coupler and a magnetic driver. The magnetic coupler has a first multi-pole magnet and is positioned next to the transmission shaft. The magnetic driver is fixed to the transmission shaft corresponding to the magnetic coupler and has a second multi-pole magnet with an opposite polarity relative to the first multi-pole magnet of the magnetic coupler. When the dynamical transmission member is fails, the magnetic driving mechanism is prevented from adversely affecting the normal working of the transmission shaft through the magnetic driver by disconnecting from the magnetic coupler.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2004Date of Patent: July 4, 2006Assignee: Liung Feng Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Lin Heng-I, Chuang Feng-Ming
