  • Patent number: 11839044
Abstract: A power electronics unit (1) for an electric drive unit, having an electrically conductive carrier element (2) and a power semiconductor module (3) arranged on the carrier element (2). The power semiconductor module (3) is designed to convert a direct current into a three-phase alternating current, and a current sensor (4) used to determine the alternating current is integrated such that it forms a main module (5) with the carrier element (2) and the power semiconductor module (3). A drive train for a motor vehicle having such a power electronics unit (1) is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230333146
Abstract: A current sensor for measuring an electric current of a bus bar includes a ferromagnetic core and a circuit board. The bus bar extends through the ferromagnetic core. The ferromagnetic core includes a first air gap having a first width and a second air gap having a second width. The first width is greater than the second width. The circuit board includes a single sensor chip or two spatially separated sensor chips. The circuit board positions the sensor chip or the sensor chips relative to the first air gap and the second air gap. The single sensor chip includes two spatially separated magnetic sensing points, or the two sensor chips each include one magnetic sensing point. Each magnetic sensing point is disposed in one of the first air gap or the second air gap.

  • Publication number: 20220334147
Abstract: Two ferromagnetic elements are disclosed that delimit a region for an electrical conductor, in which a current intensity should be measured. Each ferromagnetic element has an end surface. The end surfaces of the two ferromagnetic elements face each other and delimit an air gap. A magnetic field sensor is arranged in the air gap or near the air gap. The region delimited by the ferromagnetic elements is open on a side opposite the air gap and can thus receive the electrical conductor. The current intensity is measured by means of a magnetic field measurement. The ferromagnetic elements can be, in particular, L-shaped.
