    Abstract: Disclosed are water-dispersible polyesters which impart improved water resistance and block resistance properties to printing inks. Typical polyesters contain about 90 to 97 mole % isophthalic acid, about 3 to about 10 mole % 5-sodiosulfoisophthalic acid, about 70 to about 85 mole % 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol, and about 15 to about 30 mole % diethylene glycol, based on the total of all acid and hydroxy moiety repeating units being equal to 200 mole %.
