The dental cream contains a dentally acceptable water-insoluble alkaline earth metal salt, a liquid vehicle and a gelling agent. The liquid vehicle contains water, glycerine and sorbitol and a vegetable oil as an additive to reduce syneresis due to contact between the dental cream and the polyolefin resin.
