Abstract: A garment is provided, the garment comprising a base fabric layer having an inner surface and an outer surface, the base fabric layer further having on the inner surface, an absorption region and a non-absorption region. In a particular implementation, the non-absorption region is configured to be in contact with the skin of a wearer of the garment. The garment further includes a moisture prevention insert that includes a moisture resistance layer in contact with the absorption region of the base fabric layer, wherein the moisture resistance layer includes at least two sub layers, each sub layer having a thermoplastic polyurethane coating; a fluid absorption layer configured in contact with the moisture resistance layer; and a mesh layer configured to have one surface thereof in contact with the fluid absorption layer and an opposing surface thereof in contact with the skin of the wearer.

Abstract: A multipurpose hair apparel includes an elastic retention band and a non-elastic fabric shelter, having a width substantially larger than a width of the retention band, extended from the retention band in an end-to-end manner to form a wearing loop for adjustably conforming a head of a user. The fabric shelter is adapted to stretch out its width to form a head shield for covering the head of the user and to adjustably reduce the width corresponding to the width of the retention band to form a headband for crowning at the head of the user. The retention band is adapted to repeatedly loop to form a scrunchy for tightening up a ponytail of the user. Therefore, the user is able to multi-use the multipurpose hair apparel to confine the hair in different ways and different styles.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the production of proteins in host cells, and more particularly to host cells containing multiple integrated copies of an integrating vector. Suitable integrating vectors for use in the present invention include retrovirus vectors, lentivirus vectors, transposon vectors, and adeno-associated virus vectors. Methods are provided in which the host cells are prepared by using the integrating vectors at a high multiplicity of infection. The host cells are useful for producing pharmaceutical proteins, variants of proteins for use in screening assays, and for direct use in high throughput screening.

Abstract: An electronic switch circuit switches out bad decoupling capacitors on a high speed integrated circuit chip. The circuit comprises a control device that operates in the subthreshold or off device state to detect leakage in a decoupling capacitor. This control device operates in a low impedance state if the capacitor is good and in a high impedance sate if the capacitor is bad. A feedback circuit is connected from an internal node of the capacitor to a gate of the control device so that once a state of the capacitor is detected it can be stored on the gate of the control device. A single external signal source shared by a group of capacitors activates the control device to detect leakage in the capacitor. The circuit operates to switch out capacitors that fail during normal operation.
