A method for using a music education system comprising: coupling at least one staff, permanently coupled to at least one markable and erasable piece of material, to a markerboard; placing and removing at least one musical notation on the at least one staff; removing the at least one markable and erasable piece of material; rolling the at least one markable and erasable piece of material; and placing the at least one markable and erasable piece of material in a storage container.
